Hi Mel,

I have to say first of all that I am a very cynical person by nature. And I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and I am not easily impressed. However I kept hearing people talk about FOTC, and when my best friend kept insisting I watch it, I finally took his advice. And BOY am I glad I did. It is truly one of the funniest shows I have ever seen in my life. And in my humble opinion, whoever the writers are for the show, they are truly GENIUSES. Not to mention the cast of the show (and that definitely includes you) who are absolutely hilarious.

My concern now is that HBO, continues to air this GEM. And if there is anything, and I do mean anything I can do to make that a reality, please do not hesitate to ask me. I will leave my email address in this message, just in case you need it.

chrislevin@sbcglobal.net

Also I would really like to go and see them live if at all possible. So I signed up for the newsletter at: http://www.conchords.co.nz/index.php

I'm not sure if this is the best way to get concert info for them, but if you know of a better way, please let me know.

Anyhow thanks for listening, and keep up the great work, you are all doing. I for one appreciate it very much.

Hi Mel... who could be my spouse's (Holly's) lost identical twin...
I was noticing that Jemaine seems to be a hybrid of Elton John and Roy Orbison, and Bret, a cross between Kenny Loggins and... I don't know... Bert Convey; regardless, they are more talented than any other celebrities on air today.
Can't wait until next season, when the Dogggz have had their (fifteen minute) day and move on! Hope you come back to the lads!
Cheers, mcianwright, Alexandria VA

Dear Mel,

You remind me of a night in New York with the lights of Times Square showing the passion in your eyes and heart.

Keep it up. Good work and heuvos rancheros!!
Keep the salsa fresh!!

First off, Bravo FOTC. My 6 year old daughter and I love to watch this show every Sunday night that it is on. We also order it on demand, when ever my daughter has a spare moment. I can't believe how much she loves this show. She sings all FOTC songs. And FOTC never really cuss in their songs, which is good for the kids, and still manage to crack me up everytime I hear them. This brand of humor is in the now and very clever. My daughter and I both believe that a comedy special that would star FOTC and Tenacious D would probably be the greatest and funniest comedy special ever.....period. I think if this ever happens we should get full credit for teaming up these comedic musical geniuses. A televised thank you would do just fine, or a big financial donation for this great idea would do just fine.

This is one of the most intelligent and original TV shows on air today. I hope that it survives and catches on. My wife and I have watched some episodes 10 times or more, and still get enjoyment out of them. I recently published a post about FOtC on my blog, Monkey Prose - http://monkeyprose.blogspot.com - in a effort to drum up some buzz about them. Most of the people I talk to never heard of them. Perhaps it was the 10:30 PM Sunday time slot, but they had a great lead in by following Entourage. Hopefully the Blog Gods will smile upon Bret and Jemaine, and grant them a larger audience next year.

can we please save flight of the conchords. This is serious people, they have a cult following, but the mainstream hasn't caught on. The only way they won't get cancelled is if they bring in big bucks. The same thing happened to Lucky Louie. That show was great, but had no large following...cancelled. If we don't all band together and fight for Flight, we will lose these mutha flippin New Zealanders. I've been trying to spread the Flight of the Conchords phenomenon by showing all my friends the best espisodes. My cable company has now pulled the show off of their on-demand network. This is very distressing to me because I for one need another season minimum of these fellows. I personally have seen every episode over six times besides the last two. Those I have only seen twice per episode. I need to fill my quota. If nothing else can happen, we at least need to get the season DVD out quickly, and all need to buy a copy. This is urgent. If we can't all band together and learn how to flip the bird, than everybody will be yelling racial stereotypes for the rest of our lives.

Oh I guess I should have watched all the Vlogs before posting my previous comment. B-)

I still think you need a robot clone, just in case.

Hi Mel!

I know someone probably asked this way down the post but... I am asking again.
Who is hotter, Bret or Jemaine? Like, if you were following them both, and they went two different directions, what would you do? You should probably make a clone or robot copy of yourself just in case it ever happens.
Oh and which dog is cuter, dog-Bret or dog-Jemaine?
Also, isn't Demetri Martin awesome! You should get a cat and name it Demetri. Or Martin. Probably Martin.

Hi Mel!! I don't know if you're a fan of American football but on Sunday September 30th The National Pre-Game show on the Fox Network played "Business Time" by
"Flight of The Conchords" as a lead-in to the game!!!!
I was so happy that I watched the game from my favorite cardboard box!!!! Well so long for now Mel.
PS: Say hi to Doug for me.

Hi, Mel. I just wanted to say you're the coolest Flight of the Conchords fan ever. Since you attend the band meetings as fan-club president sometimes, maybe you could ask the guys and Murray if they would like to have a showcase with my band. Of course they will be headlining the showcase. You're the best.:-x ((HUGS))

PS. Keep doing your blog, it's great. Send pics of your tattoo.

I think the guys should get a gig at the local Mexican restaurant. They have a tune that would fit, comically...

I don't want paid for the idea just noticed...
