Hey, i love flight of the conchords!! the guys are super hilarious and hot( esp jemaine!)
But, are their accents real or fake? i like dont get it, is new zealand a real place or is it made up cos ive never heard of it!
Has enyone been there??can you guys help me out cos i feel like a bad fan!

If New Zealand wasn't real then I would be sitting in the middle of the Pacific Ocean right now....which I am but on a large blot of land called the "North Island" . We have two main islands ( imaginatively named North and South, because they are errr north and south of each other.) We also have Stewart Island near the bottom of the South Island plus a heap of small islands scattered around.

New Zealand is like Yellowstone Park, in that it has geysers.
Actually it is like Norway because it has fjords.
Well, maybe more like Denver - tall purple, snow capped mountains.
Of course some say like England - they drive on the wrong side of the road.
Come to think of it, maybe New Zealand is mythical.

On the chance that this is a young person, I'll bite:
You are not necessarily a bad fan but depending on your age and background you may be guilty of living in a cave for several years if you don't know that New Zealand is a real place. If you are able to ask the question on this message board I suppose you can Google it. (heh?)
If you are relatively young and sincere you would be interested to know that the filming of the Lord of The Rings movies took place there. Now you now as much about New Zealand as the rest of us. Except it is near Australia and apparently there is a very friendly rivalry between the two.
(Which reminds me how hysterical it was that it was so sad when Bret and Jemaine were being picked on for being from New Zealand and how that was portrayed as being quite tragic really until they realized they were talking about Australians and suddenly there was nothing wrong with being prejudice at all! This show is good on so many levels)
