I'm fairly irritated with the bullshit over at the RT boards, so I'm moving in with you guys for bit.
I'm really clean, I pay my rent on time, and I go to bed at reasonable times.
Just don't eat my snack foods, and life will be sweet.

To my fellow residents -
Will whoever is always slipping the cheap posters/playbills under my door every day please stop it. I have seen these same posters with the scrawled drawing of one big head and one little hear all over the neighborhood - on construction site walls, telephone polls, park gazebos and even a band shell or two. I hardly need one stuffed under my door every day. Last week you stuffed an entire ream of paper under my door. What was that about?
Save a tree and knock it off, will you?

I noticed in FOTC, the guys are too polite to use "the F word" on the show, so they say "flip" or "mother flipper" which is kinda cute

That blows means that something sucks, or it is awful, in American.
If you want to say "go suck a kumara" or "go suck eggs," in American, I don't know. In NY we just say "go fuck yourself."
Simpler would be "fuck off," "eat me," "get bent," "go to hell."
More polite would be, "go jump in a lake" or "get lost," I guess.

Really? you're kidding me aye. I thought the American "that blows" ( e.g. like our whales giving great displays or a volcano erupting) was similar to your "that's hot" ( which in NZ the equivalent would be "that's cool").....i.e. similar to Mel's "awesome" which reminds me, there was some dude from the US who bought a plane ticket and ended up in Auckland, New Zealand after thinking he was on a plane to Oakland, USA.
