All right, Here's the deal... I'm fairly irritated with the bullshit over at the RT boards, so I'm moving in with you guys for bit. I'm really clean, I pay my rent on time, and I go to bed at reasonable times. Just don't eat my snack foods, and life will be sweet. Savvy?

Apartment Bulletin Board OK you jokers. Will whoever thought it was funny to rig my door with 50 musical robot greeting cards please knock it off. You nearly gave poor Cheeky a heart attach when I went out for Monkey Chow yesterday. If you can't respect me, at least respect the monkey. Apt. 3-B -- WIDTAP

Please Stop Slipping cheap posters under our doors

Apartment Bulletin Board To my fellow residents - Will whoever is always slipping the cheap posters/playbills under my door every day please stop it. I have seen these same posters with the scrawled drawing of one big head and one little hear all over the neighborhood - on construction site walls, telephone polls, park gazebos and even a band shell or two. I hardly need one stuffed under my door every day. Last week you stuffed an entire ream of paper under my door. What was that about? Save a tree and knock it off, will you? Apt. 3-B -- WIDTAP

ha I noticed in FOTC, the guys are too polite to use "the F word" on the show, so they say "flip" or "mother flipper" which is kinda cute

If you want to say "go suck a kumara" or "go suck eggs," in American, I don't know. In NY we just say "go fuck yourself." Simpler would be "fuck off," "eat me," "get bent," "go to hell." More polite would be, "go jump in a lake" or "get lost," I guess. -- "No left turn unstoned."

I thought the American "that blows" ( e.g. like our whales giving great displays or a volcano erupting) was similar to your "that's hot" ( which in NZ the equivalent would be "that's cool").....i.e. similar to Mel's "awesome" which reminds me, there was some dude from the US who bought a plane ticket and ended up in Auckland, New Zealand after thinking he was on a plane to Oakland, USA. which also reminds me that your "you're kidding me" is similar to our "you're having me on" ....but if I said "you're having me on" to an american they would think I was being a bit dodgy aghhh I might go take up american language lessons this summer
