It's great being able to watch the first episode direct from the HBO site. You guys rock! We had a chuckle about the "product placement" ( i.e.posters of New Zealand) on the show, I guess it means we will have Flight of the Conchords fans holidaying here as well as all the Lord of the Ring nutters Remember to tell those New Yorkers to come over during their winter so they can have a california beach type experience here. Please can you eat some guavas on your show so I know you have read this haha. ( hey if the Snakes on the Plane fans can ask for script lines then we can too huh? *lives in hope*) Also I think you should have at least one demented kiwi fan turn up in an episode, yes? Ok well...as you were ....

Aye Sounds like the banks are screwing us over----globally and internationally I knew that the A.P. term must have been one that people knew. It's not how they take your cash, rather, what term they affix to it.... It's the same here in the U.S. with the transaction fees.. Mutha Uckas Uckin' with our shi.... -- Sue them, just sue them... Not sure how this fits in the context of > the song. He's bitchin' bout the "mutha uckin'" Banks charging him a $2 transaction fee...which makes his account balance short of the amount needed to cover his AP - which is his fortnightly rent...and when that "bounces"... he's charged a $25 penalty fee...so basically the bank screwed him for $27. Sounds like they didn't change the lyrics from NZ...cos in NZ it's common to get paid, and pay for your rent fortnightly...in the States, I think it's more common to pay your rent monthly.

I'm back! yay! :P Thanks to some guy on youtube who has put up the episodes faithfully every week after the show *kiss kiss* I have been able to watch FOTC! I've been down in the Lakes, mostly suffering on 2G network aghhhh and craving 3G so I can watch each episode. I am not sure what the song is, but yes AP in "kiwispeak" means an automatic payment form signed with the bank so money transfers regularly to another account. Not sure how this fits in the context of the song.

Please Kiwis help me understand the lyric in Motha Uckas song When Jemaine says slip went out on "A.P" what does he mean? I know it stands for Associated Press, but in the context of the song, it must mean something else. -- Sue them, just sue them... It's my bluetooth friend.

what a week! We lost rugby against the Wallabies ( Aussies) and yachting against the Swiss sailing in Spain with kiwi sailors. I tell ya it's been a bit rugged, it's the middle of winter here and I need a cup of hot chocolate

ahem *cough* it was Dennis Connor ( the american that kiwis loved to hate haha) who used the weapon of choice - a 60ft catamaran to hold on to the holy grail of yachting.....and the courts ruled in favour of the defenders! sheesh. Talk about showering the nation with glory. Not. It was uzzz kiwis who introduced the state of the art plastic fantastic and space age material yachts :P .....highly refined, minutely detailed,... meticulously planned. The crazy thing right now is watching kiwis on Team New Zealand sailing against kiwis on Alinghi.

I hope HBO puts all the episodes on this site, cos I don't want to have to wait months for the series to start here in New Zealand *cries* -- Edited by Guavablue at 06/19/2007 2:58 AM
