How different would the show be...

If this was the Cowboys team of the Aikman era?

Or better yet, Tony Landry? For that matter, would this type of show be done if he was still in charge?

Yes, of course, I knew it was Tom, my bad.

The show spotlighting the 1989 and beyond era would have had to focus on the trade they made with the Vikings involving Herschel Walker. The craziest trade I think I can remember. I lived in Minnesota at the time and no one I knew was in favor of it occurring. Jerry Burns didn't want it done, it was anyway, so to spite the office he just didn't play Walker. And we all know how Walker's career with the Vikings played out.

I don't know what kind of team the Cowboys would have had without all those draft picks they got from MN.

Tom Landry was a great coach. I was just a kid, and that was when I started watching the Cowboys. Danny White was Q.B.,Tony Dorsett ,Tony Hill, etc. I,ve been a fan ever since. Tom was a religious man and I don't even think cussing flew in his locker room. Loved his hats though.

I kinda miss the Landry era. But if he were in charge, there'd be no cameras in the locker room. So this would be featuring another team...

interesting. first off his name is tom landry. Tom landry, was quiet stoic man. He was an interesting contrast to all the hype and frills that surrounded the cowboys in the 1970?s?billed as Americas team. I say no, because I would not be interested in it. I?m more interested in the aikman era. jones and Johnson would?ve approved of the show. 1989 would have been a great time for this show to document the start of next dynasty. No stars and a lot of young great talent trying to make a team. I would have like to see the coaches evaluating the talent on that team. old veterans let go. rookies jocking to make the team 1989 was the closing of the old book on the tom landry era and opening a new one titled the new dynasty?3 superbowels, should?ve been four in a row.
