Anyone know the name of the comedy show in either the late 1980s or early 1990s (between 1988-1992, I think) featuring a comedian who acted like he had ADD (attention deficit disorder) and could hardly focus on doing one thing for very long. He had to write a paper for work on a typewriter but seemed to always get distracted. I think his last name was Miller but I am not sure. I think he did a Roy Orbison impersonation at one point while playing the guitar and I think a Steve Miller Band poster was on the wall. Another point in the show he flipped pencils to make them go through the window on the back wall above the kitchen sink. The show may have even been on Showtime but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure this was ever released on DVD. I recorded it when it aired back in 1989 on Showtime. Just a couple of years ago, the tape was starting to show its age, so I converted it to DVD. Email me if you have any questions about it. jimmorton3@wmconnect.com

Yes this is indeed the Steven Banks Home Entertainment Center. I taped this off of the satellite when it aired on Showtime in 1989. The tape had started to degrade when I converted it to DVD. He plays electric and acoustic guitar, bass guitar, banjo, recorder, harmonica and drums, and does impersonations of Bob Dydlan, Paul Simon and Van Morrison. The premise of the show is that he left work early, then is contacted about a speech he was supposed to have written. Now, he has about an hour to get the speech written, but is distracted by any and everything. From sour milk to losing his girlfriend, he maintains a list of things he needs. One of his many distractions is flipping pencils into the sink and out the window just above the sink. Anyone else remember this? Jim jimmorton3@wmconnect.com

im looking for a show that was in the late 80's or early 90's. From what I remember it was a one man show with a large stage that looked like a few city buildings. New York like. and the guy would run around from window to window dressed and acting like different people. I was amazed at how fast he could make it from window to window as a different character. Any Info would be great!!!! Thanks. psudoo@hotmail.com
