Crystal, Recently a film submission came to The Cleveland International Film Festival. Once it was selected it was the first film I took home to watch since it was by Terry Sanders (Return With Honor, one of my all time favorite docs). What a great surprise for me to see you in it (it was a month after I had seen you on Alive Day Memories)!!! It really filled in some missing pieces of your injury & recovery. Terry Sanders did an amazing job, and I am so grateful he focused so much of the documentary on you. Wish you could come to our film festival so we could meet you in persona and say a heartfelt thank you. I especially wanted to say Thank You for all you have sacrificed for this country. I know your journey has been anything but easy, but there are so many of us in awe of your unselfishness and willingness to serve. As a mom, I would be so proud to have you as a daughter. Keep up your hard work Crystal, it WILL pay off. I want to read on this website that your ASVAB went up and you got into the program you wanted, because YOU SHOULD BE HELPING OTHER VETS?. how fortunate they would be. My very best to you. Warmly, Beth Radisek

I was hesitant to watch the Alive Day series because I did not know how I would react. I was with the 82nd Airborne out of Bragg in the first Gulf War. But, i watched and you are a very brave girl, to go through what you have and still have the courage to do this series was impressive to say the least. There are no words to describe the bravery and dedication to duty that all that have and continue to serve go through when deployed in combat. I am sure that it would be a pleasure to know you and I wish you and your family all the best that God can provide. Hats off to the men and women who are willing to give EVERYTHING to sustain the blanket of freedom that covers this country. AIRBORNE!

Crystal, I wanted to say hello and thank you for the service and sacrifice you gave, in order for people to have the freedom to write and speak freely, even if it means receiving rude judgements. Never mind them. They will never understand what it means to live the way we do. I was in Ramadi as well and had the opportunity and honor to take care of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines that were wounded in the streets of Ramadi. We lost many and saved a lucky few. Live your life the way it makes you happy. I wish you good luck in all your ventures and remember that all of us that were there, be it Iraq or Afghanistan, think about you and support you. Markus

Hello Crystal, First may I say that I, as an American Veteran, honor you and the rest of our soldiers with most regard and respect! I am proud to call myself an American and a veteran. It is a thankless job and not enough people realize that. Keep striving for your goals, I have a good feeling that you will reach them! Stay happy and keep that wonderful attitude! 'Pro Patria' - 'For One's Country' As far as the Tattoo, some people just don't get it. Keep smilin'

What is sad that there are people like ecsea out there. To criticize someone that has given so much to spread your beliefs is as wrong as it gets. Just say thank you or don't say anything at all.

Crystal Have no regrets, as they will haunt you. Keep you chin up and excel and exceed all limits take no pity and you will overcome and enjoy life as we are only mortal and to spend life thinking shoulda coulda woulda will only slow down the progress of life. Also hold no grudes, Have no hates. As they will only torment your soul. Mark West, SSG Retired U.S. Army
