Each year, thousands of children from Latin America travel hundreds of miles to get to the United States, with many making their way on the tops of freight trains. Which Way Home follows several of these children as they embark on a treacherous journey where they will face a myriad of risks-from exploitation by nefarious smugglers, to being struck by or falling off trains, to dehydration or exposure while crossing the desert. Despite their determination to find a new home, many end up returning to their towns and villages, which offer little or no opportunities or hope for the future.
