I really liked da movie. I understood where Angel Rodriguez ( Jonan Evertt) was comin from. He's a confuse 17 year old who has been kicked out of his father house and has to live in the streets. He has to decide if he wants to go and make somethin out of his life or keep goin the same route that he's in now. This movie is very sad b/c I use to c ppl like that and I also knew a person goin through same thing. This movie got me thinkin about the kids out here that I use to hang wit and I saw what happen to them. I hope u do make a part 2 to this. I would really like to c if he change and prove his father wrong. That he really made out there and change his life around. Plus he's also cute.(laughs)

The film Angel Rodriguez had great acting and was filmed in my neighborhood of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The problem is the director should have added maybe an extra half an hour to explain certain things, for example I really liked the character Jamie. What was that all about on the staircase when Angel slams Jamie up against the wall. What was the director telling us. Was Angel deep down attracted to Jamie, but afraid of his feelings. Why did he hate his father's girlfriend and why was he not arrested for assault when he tried to smother his father's girlfriend. Also, the part when the father said he still wets his bed, a 17 year old bedwetter is a sign of a kid with emotional problems. What happened in his father's house to make him so angry and bitter.

This movie did seem boring and crazy the first time I watched it but, I got its message the second time around. It was clearly about a troubled teen who was very confused. It was a good movie but it could have been much better. Even though I thought it was good I didn't even get why the camera was stuck on a character longer than it needed to be. For example the kitchen scene with Rachel. I was very annoyed and confused but overall an A-movie for thought and acting. -- Edited by garyaaliya at 11/05/2006 1:06 PM -- Edited by garyaaliya at 11/05/2006 1:07 PM -- Edited by garyaaliya at 11/05/2006 1:07 PM

I really LOVED Angel Rodriguez. I thought it was immensely moving, thought provoking, and sensitive. I can understand how sometimes in the inner city, one bad move throws you into a complete tailspin, as is happening with Angel. I'm sure people will think, "Yeah, but he brought it on himself by being a thief, liar, etc." Angel's 17 years-old for god's sake! How many of us had our act together at 17?! The open ended conclusion drove me nuts, but it forces you to think about Angel's next move; it could go either way and he's fully in control of his fate now. This film is still in my head, as are many of the images. It was heartbreaking and frustrating to see Angel's naivete cost him so much. The acting was superb, esp. by Jonan Everett as Angel. He brought me to tears. Hey, Jim McKay, do an Angel Rodriguez Part II and give me a happy ending! Sinead O'Connor's "Thank You for Hearing Me" at the end is simply haunting.

I was really disappointed in this movie. I couldn't believe how it ended,I was checking my tv guide to see if this was a series. There was no real conclusion to the movie. It seemed like there was not much thought put into it at all.

I thought it was me. But apparently I am not the only one who thought this was awful. It's a shame as I loved Six Feet Under and I try to watch anything with SFU's great ensemble cast. Why did Rachel Grifiths agree to do this? The long kitchen scene with Rachel seemed pointless, as did the rest of the movie. I suggest she get a new agent. First her in appearance in ABC's Brothers & Sisters (a/k/a the Calsita Flockhart Hour) and now this. It seems the only people from SFU getting decent parts are Michael C. Hall ("decent" to say the least, as he shines in Dexter) and Freddy Rodriguez.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!! How much New York scenery can you watch? Nothing happened, nothing blended, no questions were answered. I am surprised at Rachel Griffith for taking this on after such fabulous acting in SFU. What a waste of time! Who at HBO approved this? Bring back the good old ones like Sex and the City, SFU and Sopranos.

Um, it was boring and uneventful. Not sure why it was made or why HBO aired it.
