Life support is a sad movies that i can really relate to because i just lost a sister from AIDS, who has a six year old daughter, and now my niece does not have a mom but she does have family. i enjoy watching life support and that's the best AIDS movie i done seen so far because most are very short and cheap you know, and although this movie was low budget it still turn out to be an excellent movie, but i still treat HIV/AIDS patients equal because you will never know what they are going through, and you will never know what path you going to lead to one day. so all the cast in the movie played a good role.

Loved the movie.. felt that the main character was a little selfish. But thats what made her so real... This is a subject that needs to be addressed more often ESPECIALLY in the African American community so i applaud HBO for this film -- what you think of yourself is much more important than what others think of you -senecca You wouldn't care so much what people thought of you if you knew how seldom they did. - a wise man

The movie was phenomenal! I just happened to stumble on it one day. What I found more moving was the music! Does anyone know where I can get a soundtrack? I especially love "Love Brings Change" by Jamie Foxx. I still get emotional just listening to it. Thanks!

This was an excellent film. I'm so proud of Queen Latifa who continues to reinvent herself time and time again. I was surprised to realize that I KNOW the woman this film was loosely based on. I saw one of her presentations and it was a shock to hear her confess to be HIV positive because -- well, she was so young! I'm glad HBO aired this. My daughter watched it and loved it as well. We are able to talk about the subject and that is always meaningful and positive. -- Hospitaller frm The Kingdom of Heaven ~ I put no stock in religion. By the word religion I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of every denomination be called the will of God. I have seen too much religion in the eyes of too many murderers. Holiness is in right action and courage on behalf of those who cannot defend themselves, and goodness. What god desires is here [points to head] and here [points to heart] and what you decide to do every day, you will be a good man - or not

I was in tears after watching the film and felt compelled to see what others thought! It is great to know that people are watching and talking about it. That means that there will be change. As an African American woman I just fear for us, for our youth. I plan on showing this film to the teachers I work with as wellas my students and their families. Now that I am informed I must inform others!!!!!!!!!! Thanks HBO thank Queeen for representing for the sisters and educating the world. Stay Safe

Did anyone see the Tyra Banks show with the cast of Life Support? I didn't know that Evan Ross is Diana Ross's grandson! I hope the director, writers and cast read this - I had to join just to say how much I LOVED this movie. It was so real, a good message and such great performances, especially from Latifah. Thanks again!!!

I would like to thank the crew and director for making such a powerful film. I was so moved by this film and the people that took part in it. The scene at the end with the release of the red balloons left a lasting affect on just how many people are infected with this disease. God bless you all and I hope one day a cure will come. Also,I would like to find out where I can get the song that Jamie Foxx sings in the movie

The movie was fantastic!!! Queen ruled supreme! I was very moved and impressed by all the performances. This was a very welcome movie that deliver a powerful and fast fading message that Aids is still out there, and people are living with and dealing with it everyday. I applaud HBO for shining light on the subject and for also bring it to the attention of the black community. The only draw back I have to say is that I wanted MORE!!! I wanted to know what will happen with the mother daughter relationship, stepfather, grandmother, the brother on the downlow, the sister who left her brother to die. All that was enthalling. HBO, Queen Latifah, Jamie Fox, who ever is reading this, you need to make this into a series. I think this would be a great vehicle for the Queen and great move for the network. HBO has always presented projects that were cutting edge, why not have a dramatic series with one of the supporting charaters is AIDS. Well done.

I am not one to participate in blogs, but I had to register and sign on to let you know how much I appreciate this movie! Hats off to Queen Latifah not just for her great acting, but for producing this film! I also saw that Jamie Foxx was behind the scenes also. HBO please keep supporting these types of films and I will keep up my cable bill!!!!

I have sat down and watched this movie twice already, and both times I laughed & cried like no bodies business. This is indeed the realest movie I have ever seen. Definitely true to life. Every character in this movie had a purpose, and they all did a superb job, even down to the funny ex-crackhead comedian bull, "Tony Rock". This movie really put AIDS in a new perspective for me. Big ups to HBO, Queen, Jamie, the whole cast. The film should have been in movie theaters, but of course black folks wouldn't of supported it because it's to real for us. One day I hope the mentality of our people get an "Upgrade".
