I need help with the name of a movie that aired on HBO within the last 2-5 months. I caught the end of it and would like to see it again.
Thought maybe others might also need help from time to time with one
Since this is a new topic, I will post as much as I can remember about the movie in a thread.

The Haunting of Hill House...(not the crappy remake.) I mean the Robert Wise version with Claire Bloom...watch it alone on a stormy night.
(this is not a post for the film you need, I just love Shirley Jackson's book and the film.)

I'm not really sure. I saw only about 10 minutes of it. Seemed like
it was either people with severe problems who had died who wanted to live again through the people in the house or it was demons
i wish I knew more

None of those.
I think it was a large 2 story house but not a mansion.
I think for some reason the people had to stop at the house
The Ghosts affect them all.
I think the young girl helps the young man with the wound to come out of his being controlled by a ghost. I think they escape
The movie seemed to have been made in the late 90s or early 2000s
I think the black man kills himself
There are a lot of scary special effects in the 10 minutes I got to watch of it.

one of the Candyman sequels? the 2nd one took place in rural LA, a platantion home of Helen, Candyman's lover. One of the descendents of the family moved there and she was a teacher, there was a little black kid who couldn't talk, I think, but he drew pictures of Candyman.
One thing always bugged me about horror films-the black guy always gets it. And the girl friend of the heroine.

you don't mean The Shining? Only the young man had a bump on the noggin, not his stomach...the Overlook possessed folks-my fave scene was when the hotel was talking in jacks voice-blood running out of the elevator-
(Danny Lloyd was so cute in that film, I still want to cuddle him, funny, he's like my age now-whatever happened to him anyway)

all I can think of is The Devils Rejects,only these wern't ghosts, they were living crazies.
let me chew this over and I'll get back to you, I'm a horror buff, even the bad ones.

It was on TV recently. It was very scarey from what I saw ( last 10 minutes )
Not a comedy.
I think the only black man in the movie is killed
The young man with the problem with his abdomen ( I think it had a hole in it ) was that way because the ghost mde him think he was another person or something

OK From the little I saw it was about a few white people and a black man ( Not Eddie Murphy and not Haunted mansion at least not todays version ) who for some reason had to stop by this house and stay.
It was haunted. It was old and large. It had pretty good effects and it seemed the ghosts took over people.Like they thought they were someone else. There was a young man and woman. There was something about the young man's abdomen and him needing a doctor. Seemed there was a barn.
I caught the last ten minutes and this is all I can remember.
Does it sound like anything anyone watched ?
