Curious if anyone has got a hold of Lt. Fick's book One Bullet Away: The Making of a Marine Officer yet? I'm thinking about picking it up but would like to hear those who have read it, your thoughts and comments on his efforts here?  -- ********* Host_Ginna HBO Forums Host

Oh thank you! I will have to get that! It would be great to have the whole picture. It would give more context to everything. I will have to get a hold of a copy.

I have read One Bullet Away, I actually read that and Generation Kill while I was watching the series. I loved One Bullet as much (if not more) than Evan's book. Fick describes not just his time in Recon but the entirety of his time in the Marines, including meeting Rudy and Espera in Afghanistan before he got into Recon. I definitely recommend it!!!!
