True, true. Ray does have several occupational hazards; this would rank right up there I would think!
Falling in love with *anyone* at this point would put the business in severe jeopardy! He really does need to balance the fine line, do a good "job", but still stay as disconnected as possible!

I love the No 1 Ladies Detective Agency too! They are very different shows lol.
I think Ray wants to fall in love so he thinks he is in love. That is not a job where you need to be looking for love.

Ray is a good guy, a good person, a loving, caring man underneath it all. I think it isn't always easy to "disconnect" when you have that kind of personality so it leaves you open. That being said though, I think that disconnecting is the only way to survive in a business like this. I don't know how anyone would last more than a few "sessions" before deconstructing.
No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency is good! Great books too!
