This may be too early to say something about the running game from matt forte but he deserves some recognition for the opener against the colts. The colts have a respectable run defense but matt forte being a rookie just out of college opens up with a 60 yd td run and chopped up bob sanders and the colts defense with an avg of about 7-8 yds per carry. Kevin jones looked almost as good which means a 1-2 punch? the healthy defense is looking as good with a safety, a defensive touchdown off of a fumble and holding the colts to about 51 yds rushing for the game and only allowing 13 pts from peyton manning, reggie wayne, marvin harrison and the rest of the colts offense. Kyle orton looked average but still completed passes on third down when we needed them and managed the game with no interceptions and recovered his own fumble, which is all we need out a a QB with our strong D.

The bears D is without question top notch. Last week proved it. Depsite the loss they did hold the Bucs to very little rushing yards. The first half they were getting eaten alive withthe rush but then they "buckled down" and took care of buisness. Offence still struggling but not to the point where they should not be taken as a threat. I do not see any sort of Divison title this year nor any post season, however season is young and alot can happen between now and then. I still say it will be vikings/Bears/Packers (personaly feel who wins the first game between G.B./chi will take 2nd if Minn takes first) Lions -- "Just when they think thay have all the answers, I change the questions!"
