Hey, Sven. I miss Marilla too. Hard to believe it's been almost a year, eh? Remember battling the Big Bad? Take care of eachother here, folks. I've got to go back into the desert, but it was an honor to visit. I'll come 'round again when I can. Peace.

Days of surprises, or it's a summer spelled magic. First Walkara and now Haironfire. Good to see you both. I was in RI for a few days and brought my laptop from work. When I signed in to the HBO - it showed me as Svengali3. (I was in Newport last summer, used the same computer, forgot the password and registered as Svengali3.) And there was a message, you know,- a red envelope in the left corner. I opened it - it was from Marilla. I was so happy that she is back, - I answered immediately. Then I looked at the date stamp - it was sent August 27 of 2007. The message from Marilla was a ghost of the "summer of John". I still feel its effect. A lot of us do, it seems. Where are the many people we met here? Wherever they are - our friends - they are missed and remembered.

Hey, Groms -- Happy fourth! I've been away from these boards for far to long and I want to shout-out to all my good friends here. It's been a busy couple of months for me, but I had to check back in because of a certain JFC-related synchronicity that I've noticed within the past day or so. I ordered my copy of JFC DVD's when they came out a few months ago, but haven't had a chance to watch them until last night because of an incredibly complex series of parties that I've been doing. Those of you who know me well know that I'm a chef, not a party planner per se, but I've been wearing so many hats lately that it's hard to know what I really DO anymore. One of the duties I've taken on lately is decorating large tents and residences for beach-themed parties (my business is near the coast, so this isn't fresh news), but about two months ago I ordered twelve sets of beaded curtains that use shells instead of beads -- and watching JFC last night I realized that these very same curtains are used in the Yost house. I've only re-watched the first four eps, but they're in the background all the time -- made me wonder if that half-memory wasn't what made me order them in the first place. I seem to remember thinking that they were really cool -- and they really are. Anyways, at this point I've got twelve sets of these shell curtains stacked in my garage. They weren't cheap, but they're paid for, and I've got them sitting in my garage with no place to go. I don't know what it would cost to ship them, but if anyone out there wants them, they're yours. Any friend of JFC is a friend of mine, so I'm willing to go on the honor system as far as shipping costs go. I'd just like to find good homes for these reminders of my friends from JFC. And make some room in my garage, of course. Miss you all -- sorry I've been a stranger. I found some of the best conversations and friendships of my existence on these boards last year, and it's no one's fault but my own that I've been wandering in the desert. But I come back bearing treasure, so it hasn't been for nothing. Message me if you're interested. And, seriously, I'm not selling -- Ya'll can come by and pick them up in person if that's what you'd like! From the same series of parties I've got Mexican blankets, black beaded curtains, red beaded curtains and green beaded curtains (kind of a snot-green, though, so I seriously doubt I'd have any takers) and any number of paper lanterns in various shades and sizes. I don't want money, I don't want favors -- just good homes for this stuff to good people. And, like I said, room in my garage. Namaste, kids! And keep your feet on the ground.
