I read this eons ago, and finally had an idea. How about tiki's? Or tiki torches, you see them between the tiki's as Butchie sneaks up on Tina and Shaunie's lunch. The torches are pretty cheap. I'll look around for tiki's themselves, see what I can find....

Thank you Save!! It's so good to be back, you couldn't even imagine... I am so glad to be here again. My whole heart is lifted again.
My kid tells me he is happy that I can go where I NEED to go, and he is happy when he says it.

Hey sister!!
Imagine, I finally got here!!! And no one is here! Just my luck. But I am so glad to be back on these boards, I'm writing everywhere, fearful I won't be able to get back, but that's just from all that fruitless waiting.

Two things...

First... LOVE YOUR WORK!!! What great web designs! I'm really blown away with the detail and concepts!!

Second... Great idea to keep advertising the show. And, if you want people to get a better price on the DVD and help with the upkeep of the SaveJFC.net website, you can use this link. SaveJFC.net has an Amazon Associates account and gets almost $2 per purchase. Just a thought....

If you have a site, link to the HBO store for the box set, let's get more people buying!

I want the show to survive and I've gotten a bunch of friends who don't have hbo to watch the show and so far everyone's loved it.

What more can you do aside from what the JFC fan sites are doing?

And in fact, I personally think that if they had stuck with it they could have actually followed through on their promise of being the network that nurtures talent.

They don't care about ratings; they do care about a handful of critics and that is really sad.

They have NO vision, and it is a sad day... I liken it to throwing darts blindfolded. They'll pay for a season of anything, but not continue unless it is so cheap it doesn't matter, or a huge success

The irony is that JFC didn't do damage to HBO's brand it was HBO itself. They mis-marketed it and then at the first hint of bad press went into a fetal position and hoped it would go away.

If they would have stood up for it in any way, whether they believed it or not (as per the non stop praise for Tell Me You Love Me), they could have headed off the negative spin.

As it was, they left it as the ultimate punching bag for everyone else.

Therefore M is right, current HBO is way to scared to bring it back; actually current HBO would probably have sold it and may yet, but then they have to be afraid of it become a success and them still looking bad. Their best interest is just to bury it, unless new blood wants to make a political statement (and that is what the whole mess is about anyway) by bringing it back and embarrassing the previous regime by making it a success).

Yea, HBO is not going to get back in the game.

They are not even going to get into the stadium.

They are not even going to leave their house.

They are just going to sit on their arse.

Sorry, I'm the biggest fan, but after Deadwood and JFC, I have no faith in HBO. I can only hope Milch can find a place when his contract is up to move on to where he is appreciated.

I'm trying to face up to the reality of JFC, I thought I learned from DW and Carnivale to not expect a comeback.

They don't issue the statement on their site but through press releases, here are a few of hundreds that came out 2 days after the last episode:

I don't know if it states on the HBO site or not, but it has been stated by writer/creator David Milch and made quite clear by a number of inside sources as stated in the many articles referenced on these threads since August of last year.

According to some reporting from imperial beach on these threads, that the sets have been abandoned and no activity reported since the 10th episode.

I would love to think it is all a hoax and come summer we will all be back in the game.

I would also be impressed, if HBO could pull off such a hoax.

I believe I can speak for the group when I say - we all remain eligible!
