1974rn... Yes he played live with a Steinway! http://www.newsweek.com/id/142401 But I also read one of his biographies some years back and his home piano was a Yamaha. Yes, he likes to speed up slow pieces but he also was notorious for slowing down fast pieces. Very unorthodox to the music critics but what a sound! I've been listening to him for the past 20 years and never tire of him.

Great tune Ray, thank you. The old Metropolitan Life commercials has kinda ruined it for me though.

Never really got into classical. Out on these old dirt roads you don't get much culture. Here's a little Floyd Cramer tune I like tho. Lovesick Blues

My favorite piano piece performed by my favorite pianist... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv94m_S3QDo 1974rn...you should check out Gould's take on Beethoven's 5 Piano Concertos. Him on piano with full orchestras conducted by the likes of Stokowski and Bernstein. A lifetime's worth of music on 5 cds. Incredible. -- Edited by raymcd19 at 11/13/2008 7:07 PM PST
