LOS ANGELES - Charles Manson follower Susan Atkins, who admitted killing actress Sharon Tate 40 years ago, has died. She was 61.

California Department of Corrections spokeswoman Terry Thornton said Atkins, who suffered from brain cancer, had been in hospice care in recent days.

yeppers! not to mention Donnie Darko.... he had some great roles in flicks and some real stinkers a la Steel Dawn.... that was actually painful to watch....
