Welcomes to this fine establishment. The convenient location, wholesome environment, and luxurious accommodations are complimented by our friendly, stable management, reasonable rates, and colorful neighbors. But please scan the grounds for stray needles before walking around barefoot and try to ignore the foul ranting and rotten smells coming from Butchie's room. Scrawl whatever you want on the walls, just don't disturb the ghosts. -- "'The question of the final stamp, the pressure which fixes' the mark, is yet to be determined." -David Milch, paraphrasing Henry James

Don't get me talking about that horse (or the montage at the end of the SFU finale for that matter). That horse was my pet DW topic. The horse in the opening credits is the same horse (check it out) that tramples and kills William. Significant? Symbolic? Significantly symbolic? Some people, even if they admitted it was so, said, "So what?" And what's up with the shuffleboard court, anyway? I mean, I chuckle. Sounded like Barry, when he was talking to Ramon about the pool, was thinking of turning it into a skateboarding bowl or something...something relatively cutting edge and cool. Then we've got the shuffleboard court. How much more antiquated and uncool than that can you get? Maybe Barry'll institute Bingo as a fixture as part of the Snug's cookouts. G-17 proves HUGE! Gilbert Rollins is a Bingo Beast! -- So it goes.

In episode one, when Barry fires his gun.... Butchie jumps down behind the little black horse. I have heard the word 'Horse' used sometimes as a slang-word for Heroin. So, when conflict happens, Butchie jumps behind the Horse/Heroin? I know, I should STFU about the little horse.

I have an unemployed 18 yr old who is fixin to see the umbilical chord cutting firsthand. Ya'll got room for his squatting ass? You have to feed him, and pay for his gas and insurance. No pawning him off at the military base, he couldn't pass a drug test with a cheat sheet. -- B.S.L.C.C.E.A. The painted pony.... I have noticed, that the little Carousel Horse has been in several scenes, at the Snug Harbor. That type of horse, with light/dark spots...is called a 'Paint'. Painted Pony rings a bell. Another metaphor of some sort?
