> i love that kind of talk! I'm glad to hear someone does! I have always enjoyed it. I just thought I might become a tad more respectable for my grown sons, but, alas, I am rather happy the way I am, and they would think I put on airs or something silly, if I keep that shit up too long!!! LoL!!!

I am so lucky, we lost our cable, and went looking for stuff to watch, talked to an old friend who happened to have all of Deadwood in his computer, so, sometimes when you can't watch True Blood, or Dex, or any stuff you thought you really wanted, you can totally lose yourself in Deadwood for the very first time...!!!! I am having a blast. Everyone, almost every person on this show was on the Xfiles too. I had just finally gotten my english cleaned up, was thinking that an old woman shouldn't sound so much like a sailor. O well..

"The Reader" wow has anyone else seen this yet? Kate deserved the Oscar for this one for sure... and not just because she's naked for about 50% of the film either... altho I did find that quite eye-pleasing to say the least.... hmmmm, w/o being too much of a plot spoiler, first time i ever felt sorry for a nazi ss concentration camp prison guard!

AUSTIN NICHOLS IN "THE INFORMERS"

Our man plays Martin the absolute anithesis of John Monad I assure you... the screenplay was written by the same guy who wrote Less Than Zero and it's a depraved, decadent, depressing look at Los Angeles circa 1983... it took me like 10 minutes before I recognized our guy.... it also stars Billy Bob Thornton, Kim Basinger, Wynona Ryder and Mickey Rourke... & you'd think with a lineup like that this film would have some artistic merit... but whoa man, kinda boring, altho the sex scenes are definitely soft-porn at best... if you have Redbox it might be worth the $1.07 to take a gander at this.... and I couldn't help thinking at any moment Austin would look at Kim Basinger as they cavort naked in bed and say, some things i know and some things i don't! one thumb up and one thumb down!

Really digging this season of TRUEBLOOD YES!! This season has been wild. (I'm still struggling with Anna Paquin's acting though) So happy that Lafayette and Sam have survived to this point. -- Edited by zippyfan at 08/03/2009 7:27 AM PDT

Appaloosa on dvd w/ Ed Harris (who also directed) Viggo Mortensen Jeremy Irons Lance Henriksen and Renee Zellweger... I would venture to say that this film is vastly superior to the re-make of 3:10 to Yuma.... it sorta reminded me of those old samurai films w/ Mifune... anti-hero type marshal and deputy come to town and just bash the hell out of the bad guys! -- I'm here on orders from my bird.
