Hey Miles, it is always good to see you to my brother. When I saw your name on this thread, I thought, now he's talkin to me! And I do too get to bitch about the bloody weather! 104 stands right up to Jimmy's numbers, most of the time anyway. Eccles, I have been meaning to tell you, I still follow you whenever you post on the Deadwood politics threads. I like the way you think. Hot here? This morning the guy on the radio said, 94 to 104. Ick. I don't like it. I did see fog! The fog was good! It didn't last though. It only lasted for a few minutes. Myles, yes. Austin should go on Hung and say that. It would be priceless! You make me laugh. -- A lonesome high, a funnytime cry, the blues the blues the blues Cissyyost

My state has been cutting to the bone and it is difficult not to feel it now. I'm not what you would call a workaholic, and for the summer this low key living is fine, but I sure do hope I find a bit more work come September. (fingers crossed, knock wood, pfft, pfft, pfft) Lucky you to get up to coastal Canada. I have very fond memories of traveling up there. One of the best times was camping way out on the Gaspe Peninsula, catching lots of mackerel off the dock, slathering them with dijon mustard and roasting them on sticks over the fire. I could not get over how the small convenience store nearest to the campground -which on the southern side of the border would sell little more than white bread, mayo and snack cakes- offered fresh bread from brick ovens and such things as fresh pate and salmon mousse. And the scenery was pretty good, too!

I've just returned from a vacation in Atlantic Canada where there was a mix of sun, rain, and cloud, and the temps were in the low to upper 70's. It was lovely. I spent some time on the shore along the coast, seeing, hearing, and smelling the ocean and beach for the first time in almost ten years. We've been living under a bright, sunny sky with triple digit temperatures here in Flyover Country, but a recent "cold spell" has lowered things all the way down to 99 degrees. It's a dry heat, though, and only feels like 98. > Thanks for mentioning those shows. I have just > started watching television again. Hi Eccles! Happy summer to you! I would imagine it is pretty warm out there in flyover country. Here in the east it's been rain, a touch of sun, more rain, clouds and lots of fog. But tomorrow is another day, as someone once said. Thanks for mentioning those shows. I have just started watching television again. I am sorry to say I have not seen any of them, but it's good to know what is worth watching. Until recently I was only watching HBO once or twice a week and listening to the MSNs and Stewart/Colbert when I could. But now I have slipped into sloth mode and hope to spend some enjoyable hours lazing on the couch, why not?

I'll add my two cents just to say that it was great seeing "Butchie" and "Barry" on Burn Notice, which is a show I'm enjoying. With Monk, Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, and Royal Pains, the USA Network is giving us some good shows. Okay, I don't watch Monk, but I really like Royal Pains. Also, I've made a mental note to try and catch up with In Plain Sight OnDemand since learning that Paul Ben Victor is in it ... Palaka! I just think that guy is an amazing actor. -- O-< Primum non nocere. O-<

Hey Skor, I am so glad you are enjoying TB! It is, as you said, hot, hot, and hot. Hung made me laugh. I liked when did life become something you had to buy? And I don't think they will ever show us. You know, how big big is? I think we don't get JFC, because people had to think to watch. Now we have our hot vamp community, which is for the most part very simple, and this guy. Detective Downs, from Original Sin, Thomas Jane, I like him better since he grew up. Both simple. I imagine they will last. HBO=KIS S! I'm with you, Save. Nothing exciting about this show so far, so to speak. What's the big deal? Oh, that. Am I the only one or is it really hard to watch this without thinking ...well, how big is big? Show me, dammit! And I agree with Myles, it only makes me sadder that JFC was squashed and Milch's pilot dropped. But I will probably watch again since it comes on after True Blood. It has taken me awhile, but I am thoroughly engrossed in the goings on in Bon Temps. Hot, hot, hot.

Yes, I watched it. If you saw the promos there was no real surprises. It may just need to develop but so far I'm not attached. Not that it's bad... Just hasn't grabbed me yet. -- Work here, Cass.
