Sorry, but this show is horrible. I've heard critics say they think the show is too crude for the US, but the way MTV pushes rap on us like they patented affirmative action, we are used to crude...this show just isn't funny. I love dry humor like Monty Python and Flight of the Conchords, but this show has none of the wit or creativity of those shows. Please HBO take this crap off the air and put the Conchords back on. ...And what's with the laugh track? I don't need to be "told" when to laugh if something is actually funny...I guess with this show they do need to tell you because otherwise no one would have a clue when an attempt at humor was actually made. Maybe this show was funny in it's original form, maybe HBO is out of touch with good British humor, all I know is that the people responsible should be sacked and those responsible for sacking the people who should be sacked, should be sacked as well. I'm sorry, I don't come from USA, and not from UK and I love it, I watch it from the first season, and it's great. I don't understand people who say that it's rude, because it shows how we are in a funny way. If you don't understand it, it means, you don't have any sense of humor. Daffyd, Carol and Vicky rulezzzz

British humor needs to stay in Britain were it's funny. It seems to me, their humor just doesn't translate well in the States. -- FU HBO

huron, is right-on. on virtually every point he made. however i disagree on the point of, 'flight of the Conchords'. i didn't like that show at all. i love dry humor. major Monty Python fan, but i saw nothing funny in that show. but maybe i'm just getting old, buckjohn hit the nail on the head as well. little brittain is waaaaay too crude. what is with the brits and cross-dressing anyway. monty python pulled it off well however. but then again, they didn't try to make us think that they were anything but men, in dresses.

I have to say I agree with the OP. This show is garbage. I'm not sure I completely agree that HBO hasn't produced good shows in a while, because they have, but they have produced a few clunkers as of late. Here's a "Good, Bad, and Ugly" rundown of HBO's last few years: The Good: Big Love True Blood In Treatment Tell Me You Love Me Flight of the Conchords The Life and Times of Tim (Why is this on at 11? Why not hold it back for the 10 o'clock slot later? It's great!) Curb Your Enthusiasm Entourage I love all of these shows and will continue to watch them. The Bad: John From Cincinnatti Little Britain USA Life with Louie (I'll hold off judgement but that Austrailain High School show looks like crap too...) The Ugly: The premature cancellations of: Deadwood (Would one more season really have been that hard?) Rome (It ended well but the second season was clearly rushed and should have been the originally proposed 3 seasons. I really miss this show!) So what's the verdict? I still think HBO has the best programming on television. I do agree that they've slumped a little bit over the last 3 years, but as a whole they are still on top IMHO.

What has HBO done right in quite a while?

I planned on giving this a check once it began running, but frankly missed it because I don't watch HBO anymore. And in fact, their email of today asking if I even knew about the show reminded me to cancel HBO service. Here's the HBO that I loved and never missed: Arliss, Sex and the City, Oz, Sopranos. Then the excellent Deadwood that was cut early, as were Rome, Carnival, Flight of the Conchords and John from Cincinnati. Entourage is loved by many, but not me. That's OK, there will be a hit or miss on a personal level, but other than that - what else has HBO done where they stick with it and build an audience across more than a partial, one or maybe two seasons? I don't even want to try out new HBO shows; if you like them, they'll get cut early any how. HBO exec mgmt needs to be whacked by Tony Soprano so he can put the right guys in their place.

This show is worse than the fictional show Ricky Gervais' character produced in Extras, called When The Whistle Blows. And that one's awful because it was supposed to be! Not Extras though. Extras is good. HBO, give us some more dry, smart humor, please. -- -- love Caesar; do bad things with him©

You are EXACTLY correct with that one. It seems HBO did something to the original show. The original show was laugh out loud; spray your drink from your mouth funny. But it seems like HBO just messed with the original formula. The BBC original shows, all three seasons are funny as hell. But this ?USA? version is just not funny at all. They need to force HBO to go back to the original formula and let these two wonderful guys do their thing! Honestly, it?s slow paced, and it just seems like it?s ?Dumbed? down for the American audience. I found this program originally on BBC America. In the first two episodes I was hooked. I have not laughed like that in years. So I was expecting this season 4 to be even funnier. And I?m shocked that it?s not. What is with the ?Laugh Track?. That was never there before. And even the characters seem watered down. To vulgar for the US? Probably. The UK version is like the ?Mouth of a sailor? compared to the US version, and that?s what made it funnier, even edgier. It didn?t have to have foul language just to make it funny. I?m not a prude, but the original had hardly ANY cursing and it worked. Even the characters are strange. For instance, Bubbles old fat suit looked REAL. This new suit seems like it?s made out of foam. Vicky Pollard even seems to speak ?Slower? so her US viewers can understand her. That was part of her charm. You could hardly EVER understand her. With the DVD versions you had to turn on the Sub Titles just to catch what she was saying and THEN laugh your ass off! Something just isn?t right with this show now. And it?s depressing. But if you want to catch them at their glory, check out or rent a season of their DVD?s if you can. Then you will see what they were, and how much HBO just messed with the formula, WAY too much. These guys are seriously funny when left alone to do their own thing their own way!!!

It's really too bad...my very American family adored the original Little Britain on BBC, which we discovered while in the UK. We can still quote entire skits...Lucas and Walliam are two very, very talented and funny guys, but I have to agree that the HBO version has fallen with a huge splat. I'm hoping for an upturn...when Walliams and Lucas are firing on all cylinders, nobody's better. In the meantime, if you haven't already, definitely check out the BBC originals on DVD so you can get a glimpse at their mad genius and understand why LB had such a loyal following in the first place.

I agree, HBO needs to cancel this program and just cut their losses while they still can, this show is absolutely terrible. There's nothing funny about it what so ever, I don't see how it ever even got as far as being a pilot, let alone being aired. It's just stupid and idiotic "humor" I haven't brought myself to be able to laugh at it even once. While I will admit the Nasa guy, somewhat funny, but the rest, completely stupid. The characters are stupid, the laugh track is annoying, the and the actors lack all comical ability. Kill this show and let it rest in peace.
