About the Show

Some men have a dream. Louie has a family. Welcome to end of the sitcom as you know it: Lucky Louie, an all new Sunday-night HBO comedy series starring and created by comedian Louis C.K.

I absolutely LOVE This show. It's funny, it's enjoyable, and my boyfriend and I watch this like "WOW! That's us!" And here I am, even taking the time to Log On to HBO.com to comment and search when the next episode is coming on and I'm reading IT'S BEEN CANCELLED? What the hell? That's messed up?! I've been recording the repeats on my DVR waiting for the new episodes to come on.

HBO: What made you cancel this show? In this time of economy, elections, tax time, and war, THIS is the kind of show we need on the air. Use your brains and bring back Lucky Louie!

This show was examining questions about child-rearing,

sex and realtionships in ways that NO other show is or was.

Bring this show back, please!

This could take a whole generation through child-rearing

and marriage successfully,

make many stupid ideas go away for ever,

and make many laughs.

This show could do 15 years, easily.

Here is the problem that I saw:

during his last stand-up for HBO,
Louis CK ended with a bit about his daughter stretching
her private parts.

The look on his face was creepy.

I suggest that this get edited out permanently,

the show does a bit about daughters

keeping their privates private and gets back on the air.

Too many good answers were coming out of that show for it to go away.

Yeah, this wasn't an intellectual humor by any means, lol. I was still entertained by it and looked at it like an insane parody of crappy sitcoms only with gigantic amounts of raunchyness. It was never suppoed to be smart, just funny, and I laughed. I laugh just hearing people talk about it. I can't believe so many people who even like Louis CK straight-up hated the show. Don't get me wrong, I liked it but I didn't stew about the cancellation of LL like I did Deadwood...I'm still pretty pizzled about Deadwood fading to black. I almost cancelled HBO because of their ''endings'' but I suppose there's just enough good. I'd rather have enjoyed Rome while it was on and taken the ''ending'' then not have watched it at all for instance.

lucky louie is the worst show ever put on hbo. crass , unfunny gross humor. i like comedians that have some dirt in their routines, as long as it is funny. and this crap ain`t funny!!! good riddance.

Wow ......I had no Idea they were cancelling this show and I agree with most this is one of the best sitcoms that HBO has run in a very long time, I am so sad that they are not renewing ....Lucky Louie had me in hysterics from the beginning to end and I could never figure out why they didnt offer in on InDemand. Luckily for me I taped them all and I can now have a laugh whenever I want, they are worth watching over again. BRING BACK LUCKY LOUIE PLEASE!

JFC, Lucky Louie, Deadwood, Rome, Carnivalle. I think you see a trend here. These are all shows that ended abruptly with no closure what so ever. I have invested a great deal of my time to follow these programs and watch them develop, only to have them canceled with no closuer. I refuse to get involved in another new series only to find the same outcome once I have become hooked. It is one thing to end a well liked show with a planned ending that "makes sense" but to just drop a show mid plot, or in many cases at the height of the action..... I also understand that not all new series will be big hits and should be expected to continue, but with a show like JFC, the management at HBO must understand that it will generate a certian "cult following" and that energy and enthusiasm will grow into more viewers with time and word of mouth.

I have been a subscriber to HBO for years, and was a big fan of shows like the Soprano's, Sex in the City, Dennis Miller Live, and Ali G. The termination of these shows is understandable, and was done properly, giving the fans an ending for all of their invested time.

I have a collection of DVD's exceeding 400 copies, and have no need to spend money for a television network in order to see movie content. For all of the above reasons, I have canceled my subscription to the HBO service after almost 2 decades of being a subscriber. I just feel you need to know the reasons for this cancellation as I surely will not be the only lost subscriber due to your recent trend.

I will continue to purchase HBO original series on DVD once they gain a track record as a "stable" program, but refuse to hand over a monthly service fee to a company who has a blatant disregard for viewers opininons or feelings.

If HBO can repair its current track record by bringing back some of these hit programs (deadwood, carnivale, lucky louie, JFC) I wll happily resume my status as a subscriber, but have no intention of doing so until you prove to me the viewers voices have been heard, are respected, and you have learned from your mistakes.

Thank you,

Steve Brauner
X-HBO 2 decade subscriber.

WTF Did they really cancel this show. I knew the Sopranos was going to end for like a couple of years but this show ended like a sudden heartattack. Unbelievable, Whoever made this decision at the network should be fired like a sudden heartattack. There's nothing good on hbo anymore, I'm switching to Showtime to watch Weeds.

but HBO has a history of making unconventional shows and taking chances- they pride themselves on that. i know, i've done work with them and thats their mantra- Thats why they picked up bill maher after he got booted from ABC, thats why they did sex and the city, and the show about the bigamist in utah and oh yeah, taxicab confessions. but lately, it seems like they've been in a slump.

I can't believe they cancelled the show either- was the best show of their lineup that season along with entourage. hbo has really been slipping lately. john from cinci is snoozeville, sopranos final season sucked ass, and even entourage this season has gotten predictable.

my new favorite show is Dexter on Showtime, check it out-you'll be glad you did.

This summer I had the rare chance of meeting louie in person. I smoked a cigarette with him outside of a comedy club in Nashville and he said a few things that were "out of character," to say the least. The most mind blowing was that he said he loved his family...Louie CK...Loves... His Family? HOW CAN THIS BE! He seemed to be about the same person he is on stage: a red-haired-black-hearted-black-humor-loving-angry-Irishman. I've heard rumors of another show he's releasing that is supposed to be two camera shots split-screened in every scene. Sounds interesting and if I'd known about it earlier I would have asked him myself. Unfortunately since I can't turn back time I'd love to hear more about it if anybody knows more than I.
