Yes, I saw Scarborough on Colbert, and in the end hold a slightly higher opinion of him.
He had been on Bill Maher a time or two, and I was not particularly impressed.
I found him pretty honest last night.

The "exploding gift baskets" weren't bombs, but stacks and stacks of money paid to the different sides in the Iraq civil war in order to cease hostilities. That and the fact that the country was ethnically cleansed to a great extent and Northern Irish type enclaves were constructed to keep the "peace". I certainly don't have any clear cut answers as to whether we should pull out of Iraq or not, but we will probably have to keep that money flowing for some time irregardless.

I did for get to tell
disposal of the used oil can be done at salvage yards or talk to the local lubes/garages - -lawa requires that they collect the oil to be deposited at approved site...
PLEASE do not dump into storm drain or ground or woods....
Maybe start a used oil CO-OP - you never know who is buying this - as it is re useable. See what you can get and make money this is how jiffy lube does it - why not follow the leader.
Tire disposal take back to salvage or tire shredding spot...really bald tire shredders normally take off hands for free. These are the guys who make the playgrounds cushy no ah days and this is also part of the reason they spontaneously combust (but heh)
Saving money is important and not putting it in banks is something else that is happening
SAFE and AMMO sales went up by 35% on Friday last week when they paid off the baqd debt of the big business..
Folks have no faith in this system....Can't blame 'em but for those making under 50K it will probably get tight. that hasn't been a good wage in over 5 -7 years. It's a sustainable wage but not one that makes your american dreams come true.
Milk recipes
You won't believe how easy it is to make your own rice milk. This costs just pennies to make too. Try it warm or cold.
1/2 cup brown rice
8 cups water
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/8 teaspoon granulated kelp (optional)
1 cup or more cold water
3 tablespoons maple syrup or honey
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Place rice, 8 cups water, salt, and kelp in pan. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat, reduce heat to low and simmer 3 hours, or until rice is very soft. (You can also do this in a crockpot overnight.)
In blender, puree rice mixture with remaining ingredients. You will have to do it in two batches. Puree each batch at least 2 or 3 minutes to completely liquefy the rice. Add more water if a thinner consistency is desired. Keep refrigerated.
Yield: About 6 cups

A good way to make rice milk is to use fresh rice that is still hot.
1 cup rice, brown is okay, short grain is best.
4 cups hot water- cold water and cold rice won't work.
1 tsp vanilla
Put all in blender, puree for about 5 minutes (until smooth) let sit for 30 minutes or longer, then without shaking pour into container being careful not to let the sediments at the bottom pour into the new container. Alternatively, if you are in a hurry strain through cheesecloth.
To complicate things and get a smoother milk, re-cook the rice with part of the water until it's very soft. Add salt and sweetners, soaked, blanched almonds or nuts and flavorings. Then run it through a blender, food processor, or juicer.

Ways to save money and meet your needs
Car ?
Contact salvage yard and ask if they have tires or go there and maybe get discount for removing them yourself to have.
Call around for a pick and pay (normally have to rummage through and find your size**NOTE ? you can?t get a different rim or height but width can be up/down by 1 ex 245 70/16 tires can be 235 70/16 or 255 70/16 the 3 digit is the width)
Learn to change your brakes and rotors ? my experience is easier on trucks than on cars ? I was taught over the summer.
Change your own oil and headlights not hard
Oil
Line a card board box with a garbage bag jack up tha car and remove the cap let drain yank old filter put on new filter. Replace air filter if necessary. Replace cap put oil in.
Headlights - read you book
Home
Find a construction junction or home improvement donation center for home improvement needs such as tile tubs etc?
Learn a little something about home mechanics minor plumbing and electricity possibly (always take precaution and remember to turn it off before you go fiddling around so you don?t get shocked)
Plastic your windows to keep heat in for old windows inside and out it you want. Block off rooms your don?t or rarely use and shut the vents to them.
Alternate or other transport
We have a thing in PGH called free ride where you volunteer time and earn a free bicycle or can fix your bicycle.
Food
Indoor Window boxes to grow tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers in snowy wintry areas
Potatoes, carrots and iceberg lettuce grow well in cold weather.

When McCain loses I wouldn't be surprised to see Cindy Lou leave Johnny over the Vicki Iseman affair, one reason Cindy Lou's sticking to Johnny like glue now. She's the one with the money & she can afford a younger stud or dozen.
