None of the people who are native to North America are of European ancestry. For lack of a proper term other than idigenous peoples, they're Indians, of the American variety. After the arrival of the dreaded Europeans, everything got all mixed up.

Why wasn't it in the news? > > Hmmm. Here's one article I found in about 5 > seconds. > > http://cbs11tv.com/national/Ayman.al.Zawahiri.2.262242 > .html I remember that. Pakistan didn't blame the USA directly. It was a single attack on one person, not several bombings on Pakistan. It is harldly the same as what was alluded to on August 1st by Barack Obama. I find it difficult to believe that intelligent people could excuse this statement and not look further than the action to consider the consequences. Look at the worldwide consequences of our invasion of Iraq! Oh, and in the last few years, there has been an increase in anti-Western sentiment in Pakistan and an increase in pressure on their government from religious factions. And it is absolutely guaranteed that it would get a lot worse if we bomb the tribal areas. They do not want us there. They hate us. As much as I have enjoyed this discussion, I'm an East Coaster and have to hit the sack. I'll check back tomorrow.

He is just a > Carpetbagger > > in Texas. > > > Bush Senior is from Connecticut but Junior mostly > grew up in Texas. That's why he has that accent He was born in Connecticut. His parents planted him here to infiltrate the oil market. They are all Carpetbaggers NOT born in Texas. He has worked on that accent to make people think he is one of the good old boys. He doesn't even like horses and will only ride a bike. There isn't even any livestock on his ranch. All he does is play with his chain saw for photo ops and go drink beer at the local pub and polute our air even more with his Air Force One. He plays in Texas but he is from Connecticut.

With the infrastructure crumbling in Minnesota, don't you think a Republican convention in the Green Zone would be a fun alternative? Republicans say things are so good now in Iraq, maybe this would help the Iraqi economy?????

im not arguing what there are more of, adn you may very well be right. just as with slavery, along the years, blood lines got mixed. but when you look back at the Incas, Mayans, and teh Aztecs in mexico, they are Indian...So many people wan tthem to leave to go back to the poverty they are trying to escape, when that was the people here when this country was "founded".

> mexicans, if Im not mistaken, are Indians down south. yes, they were the byproduct of European (Spanish) marauders, invading the nation and raping the native Americans who lived there -- or murdered them en masse Not very different than the European (English, irish, Scottish, German) invaders who arrogantly landed in North America and sysmstically eliminated the majority of the Native population, either by killing them or intentionally giving them pox-filled blankets -- and then stealing their land and herding them onto poverty-stricken reservations We justifiably were outraged when Germany did this in the 30s to Europe, or when the Soviets did it in the 60s to Eastern Europe, but we still give a free pass to our European ancestors who did that to the natives here. Why is that? Oh, and I am of English / Irish / Scottish descent, so this is not sour grapes from a "victim" -- Edited by ShakinAllOver10 at 02/01/2008 11:33 PM
