Bill, Very soon our government will force you and me and, the rest of the poor slobs in this country, to buy ownership shares in 9 of the nation?s largest banks...for the collective good of course. So my questions are these; Who decides when ?We the People? sell those shares? Do we sell them when it best suits us or the banks? ?Cause it seems to me that ownership shares in big fat Wall Street banks is a pretty sweet f?in deal. If things go well, we clean up! If things go bad, we?re bailed out! The only way we lose is if we sell those shares! So again; who decides? -- Edited by boboday555 at 10/28/2008 2:36 PM PDT

What will it take for people to catch on to the facts, I live in the southern part of tenn. and I drove around for two hours today and could not find 1 obama sign anywhere. all my neighbors think he is an arab, a muslem and a terrorist, and you can't convince them he is not. i am also sorry to say that being black is also an issue, I thought we were mostly over this crap.

dear crv123 ",,,MAYBE WE COULD BRING BACK THE GUILLOTINE, SINCE TORTURE IS OK UNDER THIS ADMINISTRATION, MAYBE THIS WOULD GIVE THE REPRESENTATIVES AND CORRUPT CEO'S SOME MOTIVATION IF THAT WAS USED FOR ACCOUNTABILITY PURPOSES... WHAT DO YOU THINK?" (sorry i do not know how to make this purple quote thing work - i always screw it up) YES I AGREE - We do need to send them a wake up call and the GUILLOTINE is a very nice visual image as well as metaphor. I also love that Jellyfish analogy! You are so right. THEY Just don not listen to "We The People" unless they are threatened somehow. DID someone say that BUSH himself was taking home a $100 billion cut of the bailout deal? I saw that somewhere - does anyone know where it came from?

I would like to see Joe Bagaent on Overtime. His views on the current happenings in the world strike very much at the heart of matters and truth. Besides he's is an incredibly funny man, and considering the times we are living in, a sense of humor and the ability to laugh are essential.

Bill, if you can somehow get Thomas Frank on your show again to talk about his new book "The Wrecking Crew - How Conservatives Rule", I think you will find it interesting!

This idea that we have to come into line with what the founding fathers did, is absurd at times. Republicans use the revelutionaries stories as tales of achievment of freedoms as well as protest of British taxes. Bill always mentions the forefathers when he's talking about civil liberties such as freedom of speech, etc... The fact is, that while the forefathers were effictive in starting our great country, the resources that they had to work with were virtually untapped and many less people to take care of. Our government today has far greater challenges because of the size and enormity of the nation at this time. Taxes will have to be paid to cover things. In fact, I think politicians will have to realize that we're the 1700s Great Britain Empire now, taxing any and all tea and we will have to figue out how not to have our country crushed or hugely downsized as Britain did back then.

Did Maxine Waters actually say she did not know what ACORN stands for and that she had never heard of it. What bald lies. Is stands for Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now and here is a Video of Maxine Waters addressing the organization to endorse Barack Obama: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ywdRw20JlKA&feature=email Bill Mahr has obviously joined the group of Hollywood Elite in the tank for Obama. How disingenous, how hypocritical. What a liar. Disgusting and disgraceful. HBO - this show is no longer entertainment, it is going to tank in the ratings like MSNBC.

Bill, I'll keep this short and sweet. I understand there is an abundance of republican fools that come on the show and can't say a fact to save their life, but you guys should find one who is credible and can lay down some facts to start a real debate. Ofcourse that would be dependant on the idea that one of them exists. Anyhow, great show and hopefully I run into you when I run for office after law school. oxymoron: Bill O'reilly-No spin Zone Eric
