To repeat what I wrote on an earlier post. Have you ever thought about having an average, middle class american on your panel from time to time, to gain a lil perspective on Mainstreet America? Bill, I dont think you or any of your guests have a clue, and it would be great to hear from someone who isnt either a politician,an author, or a wealthy movie star.I would make a bet with you that better than 50% of you viewers are middle-class. Or are you to evasive to take the bet?

This is an email I received back in October, I don't know who the original author was, but, I've been trying to get it to anyone possible that may have the ability to get it some air time. This is what should have been done with the AIG money, and also (even though the numbers will be a little different) this is what should be done with the left over 60 billion dollars. Not given to the top three auto makers. Please put this on the air!!!!!!!!!! **** I'm against the $85,000,000,000.00 bailout of AIG. > Instead, I'm in favor of giving $85,000,000,000 to > America in a We > Deserve It Dividend. > To make the math simple, let's assume there are > 200,000,000 bonafide > U.S. Citizens 18+. > Our population is about 301,000,000 +/- counting every man, > woman and > child. So 200,000,000 might be a fair stab at adults 18 and > up.. > So divide 200 million adults 18+ into $85 billon that > equals > $425,000.00. > My plan is to give $425,000 to every person 18+ as a We > Deserve It > Dividend. > Of course, it would NOT be tax free. So let's assume a > tax rate of 30%. > Every individual 18+ has to pay $127,500.00 in taxes. That > sends > $25,500,000,000 right back to Uncle Sam. > But it means that every adult 18+ has $297,500.00 in their > pocket. A > husband and wife has $595,000.00. > What would you do with $297,500.00 to $595,000.00 in your > family? > Pay off your mortgage - housing crisis solved. > Repay college loans - what a great boost to new grads > Put away money for college - it'll be there > Save in a bank - create money to loan to entrepreneurs. > Buy a new car - create jobs > Invest in the market - capital drives growth > Pay for your parent's medical insurance - health care > improves > Enable Deadbeat Dads to come clean - or else > Remember this is for every adult U S Citizen 18+ including > the folks > who lost their jobs at Lehman Brothers and every other > company that is > cutting back. And of course, for those serving in our Armed > Forces. > If we're going to re-distribute wealth let's really > do it...instead of > trickling out a puny $1000.00 ( "vote buy" ) > economic incentive that is > being proposed by one of our candidates for President. > If we're going to do an $85 billion bailout, let's > bail out every adult > U S Citizen 18+! > As for AIG - liquidate it. Sell off its parts. Let American > General go > back to being American General. > Sell off the real estate. Let the private sector bargain > hunters cut it > up and clean it up. > Here's my rationale. We deserve it and AIG doesn't. > Sure it's a crazy idea that can "never work." > But can you imagine the Coast-To-Coast Block Party! > How do you spell Economic Boom? > I trust my fellow adult Americans to know how to use the > $85 Billion > We Deserve It Dividend more than I do the geniuses at AIG > or in > Washington DC. > And remember, The Birk plan only really costs $59.5 Billion > because > $25.5 Billion is returned > instantly in taxes to Uncle Sam. > Ahhh...I feel so much better getting that off my chest.

This is the first time I've posted here. I love Bill and have watched him long before HBO. Something in this 11/4/08 Episode really got me pissed off. Bill was talking about how disgustingly the McCain campaign attacked Obama. His guest, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, disagreed and was asked "What didn't they do to him?" Her reply was that they didn't play the race card and didn't drag up Rev. Wright and his comments. This is a complete and outright LIE!!! During Monday NIGHT FOOTBALL the NIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION I started seeing commercials evoking Rev. Wright as a reason to not vote for Obama. Let me repeat this was DURING Monday NIGHT FOOTBALL THE NIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION!!! This was not local advertising, it was an eleventh hour attempt to throw all civility out the window and win by any means necessary. Bill is usually very good with his facts, but he seems to have missed this one. I wish he would have called her out on her lie or her complete lack of knowledge of the dealings of her own party.

I have been watching the 11/14/08 episode on my DVR. Once again Bill had a shout out from the audience. This time Bill the Beverly Hill Thug didn't jump off the stage. But I didn't really understand what Mr. Crazy in the audience was saying. Was it something about McCain? Not even the sub-titles mentioned what the audience member said. -- "The fellow that agrees with everything you say is either a fool or he is getting ready to skin you." Kin Hubbard

Bill, I am quite disappointed with the comments about space exploration in Overtime. One goal of exploring Mars is finding signs of life. If life did exist on Mars, all fairy tales on Earth (except Mormon?) will face a great challenge (of making up another story) as our Earth is so not special. For me and many people, finding life (not necessarily ET) outside Earth really proves that our religions is not the truth! Without space exploration, we don't even have GPS, satellites tv...

Bill, I also don't appreciate the swipes that you take against small towns & states in this country. It is from these areas that we benefit from the hard work that goes into the production of valuable things such as agricultural products, energy development and various manufacturing. And it's the people in these small towns that jump to it. They're producers, you know, produce stuff. As far as I'm concerned, they should get 3 votes to every lazy big city dweller who sits on their ass and ponders when their bailout is coming or when the next video game marathon will be kicked off. Other than that, you're pretty funny. Especially when you ponder as to what critique that you can possibly muster regarding Obama and the democratic congress. You may have to switch gears and search for your inner liberatarian (Ya know, Ron Paul stuff which you seemed open to last year). There should be plenty of Obama policies that you can criticize using this stratagy. See you in Feb

Is it true that not only both the president and the vice-president elect have doctoral level degrees, but both of their wives do also? Now, lets see! McCain ranked 5th from the bottom in his graduating class of over 800 at the Naval Academy while Sarah Palin had to attend 4 different colleges in 4 years just to receive a batchelors degree? HUmmmm! Imagine that! Submitted by a republican.

>>>NoMike I am in a way, saying we did not start from apes, Being that it is only theory and that it is not yet true fact. Some creatures start from an egg so is an egg a specie and then it evolve to let's say a bird, or turtle. Or maybe we can say a caterpillar evolves into a butterfly. The way I read religious text man was created from the elements from the earth. So did man start out as we are now don't know but I am in strong belief it for sure it wasn't first an ape. There is science knowledge and scientist that disagree with evolution as well. That's why it is still in debate. That's like the so call BIG BANG which we know that there could not have been possible for there to have been a BANG. It all theory, believe that>>> rudecasper, Ok, now let me try to answer your statement so that you better understand what you are completely misunderstanding. "Some creatures start from an egg so is an egg a species"??? Did you seriously just say that. Before making a statement try maybe using a dictionary or google, it will make you at least seem intelligent. I agree that man was created by the elements, you know the fundamental elements of the periodic table. Everything is composed of these elements. And out of the scientists working in the relevant fields of earth and life sciences, there are about 480,000 scientists, but only about 700 believe in "creation-science" that is about 0.15 percent. I hardly call that a debatable subject. And finally if you knew anything about the Big Bang Theory you would know that it has nothing to do with an explosion, ie like a bomb. You can believe in whatever you want, but do not try to say that Darwin's Theory of Evolution or the actual fact of evolution (two different but related things) are wrong or even debatable against the completely made up creationist view of the Origins. To date, evolution is the best way we can describe how life came about and evolved into what we see today. And by the way a theory is defined as a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena. You can find answers to all of your evolution questions from www.talkorigins.org

Bill I do not think gun sales have rose because obama was elected. I think most people are preparing them selves for the worst possible time imagine able. Here in Detroit it is absolutely horrible.. And About the damn auto makers bring your plants back to the U.S. If they want people to buy their cars. We need jobs period. I drive an 86 cadillac because I was hurt on the Job and fired while on workers comp. And have been in court for 10 months now. If it wasn't for my parents I would be homeless and injured.

Bill, I love your show and agree with you about 99.99999% of issues. However, you made a comment on 11/14/08 about reducing the number of Senators from small states that I disagree with. You have to go back to the writing of the constitution to understand the logic behind why each state gets two Senators. Bicameral legislature - one house based on population + one house with equal representation = U.S. Congress. Yes, California has tens of millions of people and some states have less than a million and are equally represented in the Senate. But, in the House of Representatives, California has 53 representatives while states like Wyoming and North Dakota have only one. There needs to be a place where small populated states can have a chance at having some power and influence in the Congress. The Senate gives these states (there are seven states that only have one Representative) this chance. Again, I love your show and think you are great, but I think this is an issue that I think even you know is not worth worrying about. JR
