If the Republican Party reinvents itself to appeal to the more moderate voter, what are the chances that an ultra-conservative, Christian-right spinoff party is also created?

If President Obama nominates Hillary Clinton for Supreme Court Justice, would she be confirmed; and what about nominating John McCain to the head of Veteran's affairs??

For Ashton Kutcher: Do you think that President Obama should appoint Bill Clinton to be Secretary of Health and Human Services? Considering that about half of country really needs a blow job or to get laid. Don't you think that he is most qualified American ever to fill this post with the exception of maybe our own Bill Maher.

Two Questions: (1) Why weren't the dots connected for the infamous "Joe the Plumber" noting that he is a first cousin to Charles Keating's son-in-law? Yes, THAT Charles Keating as reported in several New York newspapers? (2) Why not repay Sarah Palin for all her fine rhetoric and regressive standards with an up close, wink/wink, hunting trip with current Veep and fellow right wing Conservative killer, whoopsie, hunter Cheney?

Just a suggestion for a new rule, Stupidity should be painful, if dumb decisions actually hurt the idiot that made them we would have been rid of Bush years ago and there wouldnt be so many stupid people walking around breeding

Why is it now that everyone wants to go green and save the planet no one is talking about Hemp? It has so many uses and its a weed it grows back stronger and thicker every year. It can be used to make paper, rope, cloth, I've even heard of gas made from it. If we started growing hemp we could effectively stop cutting down trees for paper. It can also be made in to clothing and its not like we make anything any more why not start an environmentally friendly clothing line. We could probably lease a factory real cheap in almost any city in America. The southern states can grow it along with some of the corn growers in the mid-west. Maybe if the farmers were growing something they could sell and make money on the level if high fructose corn syrup in everything would go down. I know the Big Government answer to this question is it would make it easier for the Pot growers b/c the plants look the same, my response to this is decriminalize pot. No more jail time for possesion, instead a fine for anything over a half ounce in your possion while in public. In my opinion its win win, potheads are happy, court system isnt bogged down with minor offenses, the individual states make money from the fines, farmers dont have to take government hand outs or grow crops they cant sell, I think the state of Michigan would love to have the factories there making clothes or paper and giving people jobs. If there is a down side to all this I dont see it. A few industries would suffer from this move , the logging industry, and I know Dupont would be pissed since they spent the money to get hemp banned in the first place(hemp fibers were stronger than their synthetics) by paying off Congress. Everyone is saying now is the time for change, the election proved we are ready for it, above is my idea for change that will put money in America's pocket and help save the planet at the same time

It would not surprise me to learn that Anne Coulter had something to do with the beating / murder of the woman/ anchor who portrayed her in a recent movie about George Bush.It was actually the first thought that came into my mind when I heard about the attack. -- Edited by lsharpo at 11/14/2008 5:18 PM PST

*Do you think the Regan Democrats have been replaced now by Obama Republicans? *Can we start taxing the churches that told their congregations who to vote for? *What does the panel think of Michael Steele comment in saying Obama "played the race card beautifully on the campaign trail"? *Should Joe Lieberman be stripped of his chairmanship? *Why hasn't there been criminal prosecution against the Mercenary group Blackwater for their smuggling of arms into Iraq and disregard for the law? *With oil prices dropping, does the panel think the country will still have the political will to move towards renewable energy? -- Put Johnsson on your ignore list

Obama's picks will be fine. Can't do worse than the last eight years. He will be the best president of this or many of the past generations. My curiousity is with the status of the black community. Just a few weeks ago, Jesse Jackson commented about his desire to cut off Barack's testicles. At the acceptance of the presidency, Jesse was crying at the enormity of a black man being elected president. This kind of duality existed for years now between him and Sharpton. Only fighting when it suited their pollitical needs and never appologizing when they were wrong (Duke rape case for example). Barack should put them in their place and demand they shut their mouths when it concerns representing the entire black race because they only seem to embarass the race more. With Barack at the helm of the country, how many appointments of minorities to cabinet level positions do you think there will be? Not totally unrelated but will the immigration issue coupled with declaring a national language be tackled(after the more important problems)? -- Edited by erniez3 at 11/14/2008 5:09 PM PST

Here's a question I would love to see tackled: Considering that a study this year showed that a huge percentage of American corporations paid NO Federal taxes through legal loopholes and off-shore hiding of assets, should the Obama administration target these companies and force them to pony up in light of the bailout? How many of these companies are possibly even going to benefit from the bailout? How much did Blackwater pay in Federal Taxes last year? Halliburton? Etc.... -- Edited by recyclemichael at 11/14/2008 4:46 PM PST
