Thanks Mike. I just don't like spending a lot of time researching or learning about a subject that really doesn't matter much to me. So if that's ignorance, then I'll admit to being guilty. I prefer to research and learn about subjects that I can relate to and have some effect on my life. Where man really came from doesn't mean a lot to me, I suppose. We're here, let's learn how to be better people and treat one another better. That's the kind of stuff that matters to me.

george...,

That is fine if you don't want to put the effort into the research, but then you should not speak on the subject unless to say that you are ignorant about it.

One final thought, just because it is easier to understand and make you feel good, doesn't make it true.

I am glad you are happy though.

Oh.. that was a general statement, since all the religious texts are not based on evidence. Therefore trying to explain the origins of the Universe with faith is irrelevant. Just like the Morman faith and Scientology were written by a man with no more knowledge about the Universe than you or I have so were the bible, koran, etc...

George, speaking of recycling, have you seen this???

This is a story about recycling - about how your best intentions to be green can be channeled into an underground sewer that flows from the United States and into the wasteland.

Amazing!!

Mike, the truth is you are correct when you say I have not spent a lot of time researching evolution, as I stated in an earlier post. It's a subject that doesn't interest me, so I don't care to be knowledgable about it. It's so much easier to believe God created the world, and go from there. A lot less research, anyway...

having read TWO HATE Crimes just this week, a young latino gay stabbed to death by 7 teens, a transexual woman killed execution style,

and having OUR families attacked ,and having OUR Constitutional Rights stripped from us, making US the only f*ckin minority NOT covered by the equal protection clause, because some dumb a$$wipes in Utah spent 22 Million for sh*ts and giggles

Dave, lay off. So we're all not as smart as you, OK? That doesn't make us "insane morons". Insulting people rather than educating them tends to turn them off. I've read a few of your posts tonight with great interest, specifically the one where you explained the difference between the types of nuclear reactors. That was something I didn't know, and thank you for the information. Just try to remember that some of us choose to believe what we believe for our own reasons...
