Hey Bill...(love the show)

Senator McCain believes that we could be in Iraq for 100 years, even though military experts and veterans have said 2 years are not sustainable. Do you think that he would have a draft in order to keep them in Iraq? I know he will not say that now, but does anyone think it is a possibility?
Thanks,
Lisa, OH

Hillary Clinton is complaining that Barack Obama is getting a "free pass" from the media. Yet if their roles were reversed, and she had won 11 straight primaries, don't you think the media and the DNC would be constantly badgering Obama to quit the race?

Hi Bill.

What's your take on the way the overall media has basically steered this election to the candidates THEY want to promote? Example, the way the totally dissed a viable candidate like Ron Paul and the way they're dismissing Ralph Nader. Do you think we should uphold the constitution and all ANY ONE to run for office that is over 35 and born here?

Do you really think the American people can be tricked into voting for McCain simply by playing the "fear" card again? Also, do you think the Republican's are secretly hoping for another attack and do you believe that there are any Democrats who don't care about the troops or the security of the American people?

REPLY TO breeze1969-

How could things be so bad in Michigan?? It can't be true because we've had 2 terms of George Bush. There is no recession and the economy is doing fine, it's 'humming'!!

I don't mean to doubt you breeze1969, but I've heard George Bush say the economy is Grrreat!!! He's a Christian and a Republican so how could he be wrong??
If he wasn't great, why did he get re-elected??
Nope, you can't be right. Sorry. Maybe you should e-mail Dubya and ask him to Pray for Michigan!! God knows he hasn't done anything else in 8 years!!!

Why do you think Ron Paul has not been as successful as many of his supporters (myself included), would have liked?

Is it his platform? (end the wars and American empire, restore the Constitution, eliminate the IRS, end the war on drugs)
Is it media bias that blacked him out and marginalized him until the GOP primary was all but decided?
Is it the false smear job about him being a racist?
Is it the gullibility and ignorance of the voting populace, willing to buy more false promises from these snake oil salesmen instead of honesty and integrity?
Is it the incompetence of his campaign?

By the way Bill, Ron is still running for president, and seems to be the candidate whose libertine views most align with your own. I'm rather disappointed that you've climbed aboard the Obama big-government-will-fix-everything hype bus.

Bill and Panel-

If a list were made of the Bush Administration negatives (lying to the public, war, loss of respect for America, worst debt and deficit ever, massive corporate control of energy and trade policy, etc.,etc.,) and the GOP negatives (corruption and scandal) for the last 7 years, it would seem that no GOP candidate could stand up to that.
Especially one like McCain who hasn't really shown that he's going to be any different than Bush.

Knowing all this, my question is: is the previously guaranteed concept of RED state and BLUE state no longer valid ??? It would seem so given Obama's showing in the 'heartland' states. Unlike 2004, will the former RED states finally vote their self interest ?

In Christopher Hitchens' book he cites research that the Koran is incorrectly
translated from Aramaic to Arabic, changing the ideology of 72 virgins to 72
raisins.

Is this topic simply untouchable because it's the Muslim religion,or just more
widely unknown? I wonder if extremists would sacrifice themselves for raisins.

(another reason why God is NOT Great. My God would have a translator)

Currently Michigan is under going the worst economy of the 50 states. We lead the country in unemployment, housing foreclosures, and our lifelong established companies are fleeing this Titantic for safer waters than the Great Lake state. Definatly nothing to be proud of.

Detroit can not afford any more bad press that will detour business', families, and growth from coming to our state. Yet we wake up daily to see headlines nationwide of our scandelous mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and his shady gangsta ways. We see the misuse of power, government funds, cover ups, bad hiring practices (paying someone 80K for a job that doesn't exsist! and police & firefighters going on unemployment).

Is there hope for Michigan?

Or conversely, the media was so in love with Hillary during her Senate run, they gave her a pass. Why did they stop?

Funny. But, I think it opens a more serious question. Does the election of a black or a woman to the Presidency after 43 white guys, actually open the office for all minority (or non-white guys) Americans? For instance, if Obama were to be elected does this mean that the American public could vote for a qualified Asian-American woman? IMO, the historical perspective is not limited to simply a black/woman thing. IMO, the selection pool will vastly increase.

What grade is Congressman Kingston in? He sounds like a 7th grader the way he was talking about Barack Obama...wait I take that back, my grandson is a 7th grader and he seems to be much more informed than the congressman. I don't know that much about Kingston, so let me apologize for my remarks if he actually is as retarded as he sounded.
