Military budget/Education budgets

All the liberals on the panel (Morales, Lee, and Reich) complained about how much money the military gets. We've been throwing more and more money at education but Maher and his acolytes (Morales, Lee, and Reich) complain about the low education rates. Why wasn't the abuse and waste of the teachers unions explored?
The biggest joke was when Maher's flunkies (Morales, Lee, and Reich) decried the 'conservative media'. All the alphabet networks despise Pres. Bush and walk the left-wing chalk.
We hear them bitch and moan about Bear Stearns, Arthur Andersen and Enron, but why didn't they talk about Global Crossing? That corporation's stock tanked, but because the Clinton's bitch-boy Terry McAulliffe had a load of cash tied up in Global Crossing...why don't they want to crucify McAuliffe?
Maher's weekly M.O. is to bring on himself and three liberals to gang up on one conservative, as they ganged up on that CNN reporter. If there was a fair, level field, the libs would get their rear ends handed to them because their message is devoid of logic and reason. Just ask Al Franken.

Bill,
the documentary that was mentioned by your guest "American drug war" is currently airing on Showtime.
it was made by Kevin Mitnick, Bill HIcks' (the comedian) good friend.
He began the project because so many of his close friends and family have died or been destroyed from drug abuse.
I would not say everything is factual but, it does bring up some very good ideas regarding our current views on drug in th e US.
watch it, before you make any judgements.

In my home state of PA, the poorest school districts continue to increase funding and cost per student is higher than that of better performing districts. The answer is not funding. Perhaps personal responsibility for the children being produced would have a greater effect. What is so wrong with expecting urban families (white, black, latino, etc) to take personal responsibility?

Why does the media crucify Obama and Hilary over EVERY little slip they (or someone they know) make, yet "Teflon" John can make idiotic remarks about Al Qaeda in Iran, not knowing anything about the economy, "100 years in Iraq", and ESPECIALLY when the 2 moron "reverands" Hagie and Parsley make completely asinine, racist, anti-Catholic, and homophobic comments, the so-called liberal media gives little or no coverage.
LIBERAL MEDIA? Look what happened to Bill Clinton and Lewinsky! A liberal media would NOT have skewered him like they did. Liberal media my ass.
The idiot Bush and his administration have scores of scandals and screw ups and most get swept under the rug. Murdoch, Disney, Westinghouse, and GE are not liberal corporations and they own Fox, ABC, NBC, and CBS. The last 2 make billions of dollars when we are involved in wars so they will never bite the hand that feeds them.

The military industrial complex was first said by Eisenhower but in his original speech it was "military congressional industrial complex"
Is there any wonder why we have such a larger "defense" budget when we have been kept in fear since the cold war by these war mongers that have a $500 billion budget that they kick back to the congress to keep it going?
