How scary do you think it is that the U.S. Government is effectively entering the insurance business by taking a 79.9% stake in AIG? Isn't this just putting in place a PERMANENT bail-out mechanism for more greedy bastard screw-ups? More corporate welfare at taxpayer expense?

What 'GOD' are they referring to?

Bill,
I am upset at both of Barrack Obama and John McCain for their initial response to the Wall Street Crisis....it seems they both blamed each other, which in my mind does not set either one of them on my favorites list. They did not even have a suggestion on how to deal with it. I wish I could tell them to stop campaign bullshit, and give us some ideas with substance. Do they think all Americans are idiots? Do they think we lack in intelligence and just think the negative campaigning is cool. Give me a plan Obama or McCain and stop insulting the intelligence of the American citizens. Hey, by the way, when are you running for president!

shouldn't the democrats, especially the obama campaign be going after the gov't and equating these "bailouts" of aig and others as the same/worse than raising taxes and also accuse them of practicing "socialist" theories??

Universal Health Care is a joke. Give the power to the people and let them decide. Stop disease care maintenance and foucus on prevention. What have doctors cure? nothing... Cure cancer my assphalt. All they want to cure is more money for their big diseased EGO's. Big corporations (i.e. Monsato & DOW) run the our government. Its time for the American people to step up and put pressure on these money hungry giants.

Why don't you send Palin a copy of School House Rock-"I'm just a bill" Nah, she still wouldn't understand.
I can't remember if you addressed this, but Bill O'Reilly made the comment last year about Jamie Lynn Spears that in her case of teenage pregnancy that she is a "inhead" and her parents "obviously have little control over her (or Brittney...)looa at the way she behaves". With Palin's daughter's pregnancy, he said "Millions of families are dealilng with teen pregnancy, and as long as society doesn't have to support the mother, father or baby, it is a personal matter," blah, blah, blah. But if she were to become VEEP, wouldn't "society" be supporting this baby? Society being the taxpayers paying our government salaries? Even if she doesn't make it, which I hope not, the taxpayers of Alaska, are paying to support this child.
Also, I don't know why the repubs are calling Obama an "elitist" He doesn't own 9 luxury homes as does McBush. Sorry this is such a long response.

Dear Bill and Panel,
Does anybody realizes that Sarah Pallin is just a pawn in this circus? Yes, she is intellectually challenged and although the VP will be her official title, if the republicans come to an office, I don't think she will be drawing the final conclusions. Government, especially republican party needs somebody with low level of IQ: the advisors will be running the county and manipulate every aspect of her decision making. That's my opinion. Who is really next in line?
I would love to hear your thoughts on that.

Bill - Why can't Obama just come out and say that McCain & Palin are lying? On Countdown the other day, he clearly believed that they have been on so many issues but could not get himself to actually say the word "lie" on television. Why the hesitation?

Since Palin, her husband and at least 5 other publicans have refused to show up in court even after being subpoena, does this mean no one else in America has to pay any attention to them if they receive a subpoena? Are they now obsolete? Should we thank her? ;-P

Don't get me wrong, I support Obama. That said, the one thing that McCain is constantly saying about him that bothers me (because it is accurate) is his refusal to participate in town hall meetings. While McCain is touted as being great in said meetings, I believe that Obama's obvious communication skills would still prevail. Why do you and your guests believe Obama declined even limited town hall appearances with McCain?

Bill: In less than two weeks our government has spent $1 Trillion to buy the nation's privately owned banks and insurance companies. Excuse me, but when did Republicans become socialists? If some communist leader in Central America tried this, the CIA would have assassinated his ass by now.

Why is Sarah Palin being idolized for doing something that is expected of EVERYONE in public office, specifically calling out unethical or illegal activities? It's as if the Republicans are celebrating that they finally found one (only one!).
