Driving shotgun? Does this mean Canada? Or are there other places worth considering? Thinking of options....

Elton et al,
Elton,
Hi once again. Debate wasn't that well moderated I agree.
Also, I watched a "real debate" (a video of the debate for governor of N.C.) earlier today...I know one of the parties that's running. Gee, a "real" debate. Our presidential debates seem to be predicated on (my the public at least) "fights."
What was with McCain's inability to look at Obama tonight? What was with McCain's mean-spirited "I-know-everything and I am God" demeanor and attitude? Horrible. I was appalled.
Obama actually "debated"...McCain did not. He was just obnoxious. Why do the American people tolerate this kind of behavior? I felt like (while watching McCain's behavior and performance) that I was watching Bush on Halloween. CREEPY.
Also creepy is my suspicion that McCain hasn't gotten over the Vietnam war (that was "lost") and he be damned if the Iraq war is NOT won...regardless of the cost to ANYONE.

I find it amazing that we
> impeached a president over a blow job, yet we let one
> slide over treason and war crimes.

oh, and you are 100% right about this!!!!!
I'd rather the president get a BJ everyday from a different intern rather than plunge the economy into the toilet and put troops into his daddy's war.

It just makes them even happier to see that
> it bothers you.

So true! and that bothers me! ugh...they really have the market cornered on making people feel troubled. Well, the only thing we can hope for is that when the curtain closes people choose wisely.

On a slight side note...I have a friend who is on the fence about McCain. He doesn't necessarily like him, he just can't trust Obama. (It's not a racial thing at all) I think it is more about the fact he is "too" smart. This is the real problem. People don't want to feel like they are stupid, so they vote for people who don't make them feel badly about themselves. Hence 8 years of W. But, how do you even talk to people who think this way? I heard someone say just yesterday that she was voting for M/P because "Palin is pretty". Motherf****r!! Are you kidding me? hahahahahaha

It's so scary that all you can do is laugh. or cry quietly in bed with the sheets over your face.

That's how I felt about it too hlvtca. It's sort of like when you were a kid and there was this other kid who was spoiled rotten and rich. That little punk could do anything that he wanted right in front of everyone and his parents and no one would discipline him. It's like the gop is flaunting it right in our faces and there is nothing that we can do or say about it. It just makes them even happier to see that it bothers you.

You've both got it right. I find it amazing that we impeached a president over a blow job, yet we let one slide over treason and war crimes.

And here I thought I was the only one who's freaked out every time Soulja Boy lifts his frog arms up!!! Ok we get it!! "This one time at war camp these little people did unspeakable things with me> " Get it, you were in NAM, your a hero and you want to relive your Glory Days of war. Fuck!! Get over it gramps. And by the way you can't have the presidency after 2 decades of trying for it: you just want it to bad, it's like fucking the cheerleader when your in the chess club.

Yo G! I hope you aren't disappointed in the debate. Don't want to ruin the plot so I won't tell you that McCain didn't die off or anything. Let me know what you think about it!

Enough said on grampa. I would like to know or at least here the canidates talk about repealing the Patriot Act. Ralph Nader seems to be the only one with any balls to do anything, maybe with the exception of Ron Paul but niether one has a snowballs chance of any movement and yes I know Ralph has be trying since the 70's to be pres but really he's like the chess guy that has enough brains to get the cheetrleader drunk before trying to score.

I shudder with you. I can not imagine. I felt sucker punched when Bush supposedly won a second term.
