Rupert Murdoch Says McCain to Lose in Landslide

News Corp. chairman Rupert Murdoch made the dire prediction that John McCain will lose the general presidential election by "a landslide."

Do you agree with his prediction?

What can McCain do to turn things around?

Do Murdoch's views matter?

The beauty of this for them is that after the ugliness of the Clinton impeachment hearings, America won't impeach anyone else for at least another decade or three. They have cart blanche to do whatever they want without punishment.

Murdochs views matter, but only as much as ours. I'm just crossing my fingers and hoping that the current administration doesn't rig the polling machines again. I'm in the south right now, traveling north, and a lot of people are really for Obama but also very skeptical that he might actually win.

Just goes to show how little faith the vast majority has in our electoral process.

Mccain is the next Herbert Hoover. A sucker picked out to take the brunt of the worst corruption that ever took office.

The Republican Party should be disbanded. Its viability as a national Party is over. Shut it down and hand out indictments.

The individual citizen has more power in the jury box, unquestionably. Besides the answers you gave.. A jury is generally required to be unanimous. This means a single person can deadlock the panel. That's a power that does not exist in an election.

And if they jury refuses to apply the law, it does still set a precedent.

Bzzzz, wrong answer and wrong explanation.

First of all, if there is any power at all to be found in the vote of the citizen, then one of these votes might be more powerful than the other.

And that is the case with the vote of the jury.

It can pass judgment on a specific application of the law against a fellow citizen.

Just for a day, a jury has the power to say that "this law is a piece of shit" OR "we don't like the way this law is being applied in this case". The citizen's obligation from time to time, to vote against the garbage that is too many laws.

The vote in the ballot box does not have anywhere that power.

Neither. Both are rigged to seed power back a higher designated magistrate or other official.

Court:

A judge has the power to tailor any presentation based upon what he allows the other officers of the court, the lawyers to present, ultimately determining the outcome...(they also do shit like look for 8-10 jurors who appear to be easily manipulated, banking that 1-3 analytically inclined citizens can steer the ship which is why they ask you your profession during the jury selection process).

Voting:

Electronic voting machines. End of story.

I'm serious, Don. I don't like any of the candidates and I'm so tired of voting for the lesser of two evils.

In your opinion, what can the public do to shake up the status quo in terms of allowing another or other parties as a serious contender for a Presidential election?

Where's the "you only get from the system what you put into it" company motto you posted on the Mclellan thread?

What you're saying with the statement above is that the system can be circumvented which is EXACTLY what I was saying.

Glad to see you agree..... or, you've changed your mind in a few minutes... either way, fine by me...

I understand this happened in Australia once... and I think Mickey actually qualified for a runoff.

As for what harm could come... Well, if McCain ends up by winning the electoral votes of a state like Florida by fewer than the number of votes that went to Mickey Mouse....

I would say a whole lot of harm can from it.

Be as funny as you like on the forums... but the Ballot box is no place for humor.
