And by the way... how many folks in Cali think Octomom Suleman had anything to do with the proposed cuts to Welfare, MediCal, and Tuition Assistance proposed by the Governor today?? It seems as if everything Suleman received is on the chopping block for budget cuts!! Although she was never mentioned by name... the rest of the nation can read between the lines!

What is the REAL roadblock to legalization of marijuana in this country?
It would seem legalization could solve many current economic problems such as providing a cash crop for American farmers, creating new jobs and significantly boosting both State and Federal tax revenues.

What do you think would happen if the Republican Party actually dissolved, that is if the Republican Party actually went away? Would another party takes its place, like the Libertarian Party? Or would other parties (plural) fill the void?

Was Leon Peneta's memo "..CIA does not as a rule lie or mislead..", was telling HIS people that he would not tolerate any lies or misleading during his watch? I did not see this statement as a reputiation of Pelosi's claims.

Hey!!! I live in florida in the Fort Myers area where most homes have boat landings on all these darn local canals and most of these people are in the POT business and I wander, since the local POlice seem to sink the POT boats, if we make POT legal, will this help clean the pollution in the oceans??????

Do you think that the "dueling speeches" between Obama and Cheney looked less favorably on Obama in that it appeared that he was in a postition of weakness since he was forced to address the issues elevated by the unpopular ex-VP?

I went to Boston Latin School with Rich Clarke, before he became Richard A. Clarke, Intelligence Expert. As he was on the 'inside' as well as on the 'outs' with Duhbya and Cheney, I think he would provide tremendous insight into the Torture / Guantanamo situation vis-a-vis, President Obama. Plus I would LOVE to hear his thoughts on Mad Dog Cheney!

Some big news happened but many didn't pay attention. Israel's newest right wing PM paid a visit to DC, but something different happened. The tension filled visit with US lawmakers indicated that the honeymoon may be over. Netanyahu was pressed to do something about Israel's illegal land grab (i.e. the settlements) and to work seriously toward a two state solution. It's about time Israel was denied the free pass usually bestowed by the political establishment. More Americans would be less keen to endorse the huge annual subsidy if they knew the gory truth of Israels occupation of the Palestinian "territories" and would be more angry still if they were aware of the whitewash of Israel's deliberate attack on the USS Liberty in the 1967 war. The attack killed 34 US servicemen and 173 wounded. There remain many survivors to this attack that attest the attack was deliberate. Bill, if there is any doubt, google "USS Liberty" and you can access survivors' testimonies. PS: Love your show. Have been watching it since the very beginning.

Do you think that President Obama should write a thank you letter to George Bush? It is highly unlikely that Obama would have been elected if Bush had not been such an abysmal and traitorous president.
