It's not just Obama, it's the mentality of many Democrats in office. The walk on egg shells in the fear of offending anyone and this causes a failure to get anything meaningful done. It is completely insane and unacceptable.

Bill is dead on about Obama..I was just thinkng today if it were Bush and the Republicans that had wanted single payer health care we would have had it by now!!! Bush and the Republicans pushed through the Medicare D bill that added 750 BN in liabilities to Medicare and even made it illegal for the government to force the drug companies to compete for the business and the Dems rushed to sign of on this piece of shit legislation. Bill keep shining the light on Obama and the gutless Dems. Single payer is the only way to truely reform our health care. it is either Corporate Health care or Public health care!

The debate about nationalization is humerous. Just like everything else, we apply a double standard.
No one can have nukes but us. Any Central or South American leader who ever tried to nationalize any property was immediately deposed by a "coup" which is slang for CIA intervention. Why, because we put the guy in power.
Shit, it even happened in Iran. How do you think the Shah came to power? That guy got straight up run the fuck out of Dodge.
PJ O'Rourke might be one of the most un-funny people on the planet. He is that guy who "knows" he is funny, but isn't.

And the problem with that is? Do you have any idea how many people there are who would simply let the people who want to work everyday pay for them?
What you are saying sounds good in theory or sounds very loving but the reality is lots and lots of people would choose to do nothing and want everyone else to pay their way.
I am not for that, I work my fanny off everyday and feel like other people should do the same thing.

Obama came into office when all these companies were in deep trouble......the fat cats have been given monies ,been allowed to get their big bonuses,been allowed to file bankruptsy and totally shaft all the small companies they owe money to.And who will wind up taking it in the ass for all of this?I guarantee it wont be the wealthy....it will be the middle class working American.

I am so glad you showed the old woman getting tasered!!!! I am amazed at how many people have said she should have.... I don't care what she should have done!! I am amazed at what police can do not because they have to but because they can.....he should lose his job!!!! A message should be sent upwards that this is not acceptable behavior coming from our police officers!

Hey Bill,
The reason you don't feel it is a recession out there, is because you have money. Us working folks rely on going to work day to day and knowing that our jobs will be there in the future. Screw you who don't think those in the auto buisness don't deserve a chance. Our government drove our country in the ground the past eight years, not the auto buisness.
