Submit your OVERTIME question now for Bill and his roundtable guests, and selected questions will be answered on the HBO.com website, immediately following the Friday premiere of Real Time on 3/27/09. Please be aware that concise, single-topic questions have the best chance of being selected. Refresh the Bill Maher homepage right before midnight if you do not see the "Watch Overtime" video link. Close to 3.5 Million People voted via online and the number one question was about marijuana legalization. President Obama avoided the question as much as possible and finally addressed it. During the question people snickered and laughed because sometimes it is ridiculous that we are still banning a substance like marijuana and then pretending that it is more popular to keep it illegal.

It comes down to Obama. He's trying to repair the safety nets the 'pubs kept pecking away at while trying to negotiate a 3 legged financial problem. I like the plan, and if we have to lower our standard of living for a few decades, except of course for public service agencies, then we'll come out it just fine. Otherwise, expect many Chinese tourists in a few years.

Short statements work better ANYWHERE ANYTIME. Perhaps "Real Time" will employ a talking-stick

Its amazing how you badly to responded to my point. My argument is that they (being the people of Iran, and other oil producing countries not Egypt) are responding to American imperialism. I'm not trying to defend religious idiots, I'm pointing out that religion isn't the reason they are angry. You wanna try answering my point again? We'll just call this one a do over.

Every conversation I've seen him in, Hitchens has weird timing. Perhaps if he played a musical instrument he might improve.

your poll question what would happen to old people if there was no ssi is offensive. Go to any amusement park in florida and open your eyes, ssi isn't keeping 75 year old joe blow from sweeping up you trash.

You and your guests frequently point the finger at individual homeowners for buying homes they couldn't afford, and criticizing them for not living "within their means." This is coming from you and your wealthy panel participants whose "means" will always be far greater than the average American. Is it so hard to understand the resentment that most people feel, and the impulse to say "Why can't I have that too?" Many people work their asses off every day and will never have what you have. When a banker tells you, yes it's true, you can own a home, can you really blame people for wanting that? Until there really is equal opportunity for people in this country, people are always going to be vulnerable to getting sucked in by a quick scam by people who actually do know better.

Mo Def - you showed more brilliance than any other guest tonight [any rushdie, i'm a huge fan]! In truth, H only attacked you to attempt to steal your fire - it didn't work though, it just made him look more like an asshole than when he was bumbling over his words bill, you have to make a policy to keep the mean drunks off the show

Why is Iran always the big talk when it comes to nuclear proliferation? Lil Kim has nukes and is popping off with rockets( not the first). Don't you think that later on the republicans will say we took our eyes of such an actual theat? Could this be like another pearl harbor?

However, > don't you think the problem has now become not a lack > on information but a lack of quality information? By > that I mean information that is accurate and true. I agree. If you are one who is fortunate enough to have access to high-speed internet, then you must have research skills that have been honed in a quality high school or even 4 year college. Then, the problem is an overload of information and the solution is having the time and knowledge to drill-down into various sites to ascertain their sources. Not easy!!!!!

Bill, Why are you even intimating that Obama's actions are similar to Bush's in any way shape or form? The big difference is motive. Bush is a greedy d. head with a bunch of supporters who don't believe in surpleses so they made it so the country will be unable to have a surplus for many years to come. How you can't see that is beyond me and you're really starting to piss me off. My husband became angry at you last year and I kept sticking up for you but it is becoming ridiculous. You do not have to be balanced. You try to force it and it's wrong.
