hi bill:
I am a small business owner in Kansas, i was told by IRS that my employees have better insurance than they do. I pay for all of it, they pay nothing. My question is with the new policy of not letting small business use the insurance payments as a tax deduction what incentive do I have to be bothered with all the paper work and expense. AIt gows up every year and the gov. has never done anything for mel. Sandy:) lov your show and Religioulos

Do you forsee a "Let Them Eat Cake" moment when some wealthy, self-entitled, corporate jack-off says the wrong thing and incites a "Bastille Day" type uprising in the United States? Cheney comes close with all his smug, smart ass, elitist attitude. Agree?

HI Bill ..

Last weeks show was one of the best, made me choke I laughed so hard.

OK question, why dont you add the 2 minutes of overtime to HBO, so we don't have to run to our computer to see you continue for such a short amount of time? You have never read more then 1 email; do it so we're in-front of our 50" HD TV's & not a Mac.

PEACE

Last week advocates for single payer health care were forcibly removed from a Senate Finance Committee meeting for protesting the fact that a round table discussion on health care reform was takinh place and there was not a single voice for single payer health care represented at the meeting. On Tuesday this week the same thing happened at the final Senate Finance Committee meeting.

My question is, given the fact that single payer health care is supported by a large segment of the American people, why has this story gone unreported in the media?

Why do people from both sides of the aisle keep pointing fingers in the other direction instead of addressing the real issue? Torture for instance is only a symptom of the much larger problem of profiteering that has been spreading since Reagan (or before). Why do you think the people allow themselves to be so easily distracted? Do they not care? Are they too lazy? or are they really just very stupid?

Bill, Why is the GOP attacking Nancy Pelosi on the front page of every news outlet about what she may or may not have been briefed on 7 yrs ago regarding weather she knew we where water boarding or not in the intel briefing in the fall of 2002? It is clear the focus should be on the individual or individual(s) who gave the order to water board. If she did know 7yrs ago, and had gone public with it, would it have gotten the same amount of coverage?

I'm so tired of this Miss California drama. Why didn't they take her crown away for REPEATEDLY BREAKING HER CONTRACT instead of focusing on her answer at the pagent? I don't think her answer to gay marriage is why she lost - and isn't it pretty conceted of her to think that's the ONLY reason she lost? There were 50 other outstanding women there next to her. Hmmm?

why hasnt anyone pointed out that nancy pelosi being "mislead" shows just as much of a lack of competence in her postion as being fully aware of what was taking place does.people are spending so much time trying to prove her involvement they are overlooking the fact that her defense is just as damning.

Black Knight,

I consider, if your information is accurate, the lack of acknowledgement by the press of Elizabeth Warren as a legitimate expert to be nothing short of a badge of honor.

Hello? Who owns the media? Corporations and financial institutions, that's who. Your question has been answered, BK.

Bill,
Please ask Dan Savage if he thinks that President Obama is suffering from a huge dose of cowardice because he does not place a stay on any pending military discharges until DADT (Don't Ask, Don't Tell) is repealed? What are the legalities of this move?

This is a post I made to your MySpace page that I wanted to dedicate to Dan, but ran out of room...Thanks!!!! Remember, I've been asking questions for almost 2 years that you haven't asked. I think it is my turn, Sir..thank you

THE SAGA OF LIEUTENANT DAN: WHAT ABOUT DADT?
Dedicated to Dan Savage, Real Time Reporter 2008

Several days ago, Lt. Dan Choi, a West Point graduate, an Arabic linguist and an Iraqis veteran, received a letter from the government he has served stating that he was fired. Yes, Virginia, good ole Uncle Sam did "The Donald" move and told Lt. Choi that he was in violation of government law by openly admitting that he was a homosexual, which made him guilty of homosexual acts and behavior unbecoming a soldier. Our dad-gum US government gave him a choice to resign and receive an honorable discharge or he would be dishonorably discharged from the Army National Guard.

What's the big deal, you ask? Believe me, it's a very big deal. A dishonorable discharge is a discharge from the military that is usually only given to personnel who have broken the law (civilian or military law), and it is much like being a convicted felon in civilian life. Due to his sexual orientation alone, after years of military service to his country, Lt. Dan will lose all of his veteran's benefits, including GI loans and VA health benefits, regardless of past honorable service. He will find it very difficult to find any post-service employment and will lose the right to bear arms and even his right to vote. A dishonorable discharge is one of the most shameful events that could ever happen to a service man or woman.

Our new President has inherited many terrible situations and is only in the first 200 days of his term as President, but Don?t Ask, Don?t Tell (DADT) is one of the worst policies to grace this country?s stage. It is punitive, subjective, divisive and just plain wrong. One of Obama?s most courageous campaign promises was to work to repeal DADT. I know that DADT cannot be reversed without Congressional approval, but Obama is the commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and should immediately suspend any pending actions against military personnel facing discharge until DADT is repealed.
Until then, we have many courageous men and women who stand and defend our freedom, but have yet to possess one of the most basic human freedoms their selves: the right to have your own sexual identity, without shame or discrimination.

*Why hasn't Obama fired everyone within his power who was installed by Bush, such as the US attorneys and prosecutors, seeing as Reagan purged everyone associated with Carter in his first 45 days.

*Why is the press ignoring the politicization of the Justice system with Don Siegelman's case?

To miss Warren
*Why doesn't the press view you as legitimate in your position?

Lets Fix Health Care

1. The 501C corps (non profit org's) running the hospitals have to go,, they are one of the problems with Americas high health care prices exist,,,, let the community (the people) own the hospitals in there own community thus eliminating the hospital bill.

2. local communitys stop paying the insurance companys and stick the saved insurance money directly into the community Hospitals

3. Legalize Marywanta,, let the doods with the war syndrome probs smoke a joint,, whatta fuckin crime

Bill,

I think that people (particularly, liberals and Democrats) are being foolishly complacent and are WASTING their time talking and joking about how the Republican party is in shambles - instead, they could be focusing on the following plausible scenario:

if another 9/11 or major terrorist attack were to occur in the US while Obama is president, his policies on releasing Guantanamo Bay prisoners and his withdrawal of forces of Iraq will be spun by the right as THE MAJOR reason for the attack, and Democrats would soon find themselves out of power for a long time, as they would be EASILY be branded by the Republicans as being "soft" on terror.

What dialogue could the Democrats construct now, if any, to deflate this notion?
