I love how your Republicans, when discussing torture, cleverly evaded the most important aspect of the issue; should an American be able to legally torture another human being. Discussing whether torture worked or whether we got good information from torture evades the point. Torture absolutely has to be illegal and anyone who does it should be prosecuted for it. But I think in some cases, perhaps torture might be the best option. Take the hypothetical situation of the kidnapper given by your guest. If I were in that hypothetical situation, I might just torture the kidnapper. But I would do so entirely expecting that I would be prosecuted. If you're in a situation where you may think torture might work, you have to have enough conviction to believe that the outcome is worth going to jail for. Anyway, our legal system has a system of jury nullification through which people who torture a kidnapper and save an innocent child's life can evade conviction even though they're technically guilty.

I turned you off tonight. This is the first time I have ever done this. My question which I will not hear is how in the world can you ask those 2 liars on your show without someone else who would put them in their place?

"Ambasador" (unappointed) is lying about memos. Senator Levin said today there is nothing in them. Why do you let him continue to sell this nonsense -- even he knows it's a lie. That's how he operates within his gang. What possessed you to invite two misinformed and misinforming individuals. Bolton is a psychopath, what is the value added having him on a show. You should watch Bill Moyers's show about torture... it would shut up Bolton immediately. -- Edited by tmilas at 05/29/2009 7:39 PM PDT

Do you think that the town of Hardin Montana would be a good place to bring the Guantanamo Bay prisoners to? Its a little town in the middle of no where, and in Montana, You know they like there guns there. And its not like they wouldnt be able to tell them apart if they get out.

Hey Bill- If Lil' Kim is evil because of how he treats his people, and we don't like him because of it, why is it Mr. Bolton's position that we cut them off even more if that will lead to even more starvation and problems for the North Koreans? Bill: Please ask Mr. Bolton the following: If torture actually worked during the Bush Administration, why did they never get Osama Bin Laden? Also, why do Republicans and Dick Cheney always bring up the fact that they kept us safe for 8 years, but fail to mention 9/11 when they failed to protect us when 3,000 lives were lost. Robert P. Thitoff Columbus, Ohio You Rule Bill!!!!!

i want to know what mr bolten thinks about W and vader(cheney) and if he says or even believes "they kept us safe for since 9/11 then he has to agree they did not keep NY or the pentageon safe before 9/11 and must also admit that bill clinton kept us safe after 93 WTC bombings using the same reasoning.

> What kinds of food do you eat? See how many people ask version of this? I teach personal trainers. They have to pay to hear me and they get credit for listening. I share here, for free, because the level of ignorance is appalling. Asking what the speaker eats is stupid. What happens MOST of the time is: if the speakers says even one food that the questioners does not like, the questioner listens to nothing else and ignores all that was said before. It is BETTER to ask what food IS and what the body does with it. What food is is this: protien, carbohydrate, fat, water, fiber, vitamins and minerals, phytochemicals. Eat can be disscussed in detail and then in the mixes that we actually eat. The types of the disscussions that are happenign instead are as bad thinking that a 'tan' equals 'health'. try buying and reading all of the books on this site. Use it as a medical write-off. www.nutritiondimension.com What does the body do with food? Repair and fuel. Details available -- Edited by dawniedarling at 05/29/2009 7:34 PM PDT
