As America hurtles toward the next presidential race, the HBO film 'Recount' will relive the fervor of 2000's messy election. Kevin Spacey and Denis Leary take Al Gore's fight to the courts on May 25 - make your own case on the boards, where the most cogent arguments will be featured in a special poll on HBO.com. And don't worry - this time all the votes will be counted. The question: Do you believe the Supreme Court's handling of Gore v. Bush was partisan? http://boards.hbo.com/topic/Hbo-Official-Threads/Believe-Supreme-Courts/1900006032

I was hoping for a good day on the threads, but it started with peanutude & ICTT fighting, and you taking time away to focus on your job (what a joke) I suppose my boss is happy with all this.. The boredom also caused me to take an hour lunch date with an 18-ounce rib-eye. Have a good weekend, if I don't see ya'll around..

LOL.. Well, what you describe is exactly what I'm looking forward to. It got to the point, during the last 2 years of being single, that I no longer gave a shit about anyone except myself. If I made a girl cry, I'd ask if she was almost done & tell her I had stuff to do. If a girl told me I was a piece of shit, I thanked her for noticing. When I met my wife, she & I got in a fight in downtown Baltimore. Instead of laughing it off & looking for someone else to hook up with, I ended up chasing her through Baltimore with people laughing at me.. We got in a screaming match where I ended up throwing this big-ass potted plant across a hotel lobby (she says, I thought I just knocked it over) and when she walked in the elevator my heart broke right in half.. I was so happy to discover the ability to feel again.. I thought I was becoming a sociopath. We'll never fight like that again - I can control myself - but I know that I've met my match and I know that things will change throughout time as opposed to things acting out exactly as expected... What you describe sounds very groovy to me.

MyKul, The shocker for me was slow-coming. It's that if you stay married long enough as you both grow, change, events in your life happen, you can feel like you've experienced several different relationships along the way. Intense at times, boring at times, peaceful, conflict, support, betrayal, you can almost give up on each other and some strange oddball insignificant thing or moment or comment makes you fall in love again. Imagine the people married fifty, seventy years. Conversely, one tiny thing can be the last straw and it's over forever. There must be a few perfect soulmate forever type marriages but I think sheer stubborness helps the rest of us.
