When did news anchors morph from reporting, to accusing? I got it. I know you want to keep the audience fixed in place, yet uneasy. Tease them before the commercials, and they'll watch those commercials. Consumerism. Promote disorder and distrust, and people will stare all the more closely, afraid they'll miss the key truths that'll keep them safe, or otherwise better off than those poor uninformed who aren't shackled to the same Feed. Cable News is eagerly approaching Porn status when it comes to unproductive interest and unquestioning brand loyalty. It sells cars that are obsolete, mortgages you can't afford, and a war you can't understand. What do you think? -- Edited by joefromusa at 08/28/2009 12:48 PM PDT

Billo gets mentioned on TV series Law and Order- but he doesn't like it, video at the jump "Bill O'Reilly slammed "Law & Order" and its creator, Dick Wolf, Thursday night on "The O'Reilly Factor." O'Reilly took particular offense to a recent segment in which one character said: Garrison, Limbaugh, Beck, O'Reilly, all of them. They're like a cancer spreading ignorance and hate." [Predictably, O'Reilly started the name calling and false bravado.] O'Reilly called that "simply defamatory and outrageous," and labeled Wolf "a coward" and "a liar." O'Reilly went on to call Wolf "a despicable human being for distorting and exploiting this very complicated situation."

CNN's report on the uncompleted US Mexico tunnel troubles me. Seriously, what idiot would drill human size tunnels to smuggle just drugs and $$$. I would go with small pressurized pipes. You know, one of those you see in Costco. The thing that sucks the bottle of cash whenever some asshole in front of you pays his purchase with cash. In fact, New Rule... --- -- Edited by infoseek at 12/11/2009 9:50 PM PST

In fact, I was hoping Obama can re-define a new self determination that's smart, lean and pragmatic. If he must, then lets go with his version of manifest destiny. There is no better first to do this. The worst is white man's burdens or white man's destiny.

Jesse Ventura was on Larry King this week. Arianna Huffington and Ben Stein were on a three-way split screen with him towards the end of the show. It was a lively debate. I like Jesse Ventura, but do not agree with everything he said about war. His premise is that if more citizens shared the pain and costs of war, there would be less war. 1. He said we should reinstate the draft. (Wrong) 2. He said politicians who vote in favor of war should have a dog in the fight. (Unfair and impractical) 3. He said there should be a war tax (Maybe, but only if it is restricted to those making 250000 and up; the middle class and below can barely afford healthcare). Although I am not in favor of war, I do not agree with his solutions. Jesse Ventura would be an interesting guest to have on the show.

Cyn, Thanks. I've seen CHT and other allied health care providers. It's cool.

infoseek: > The biggest problem is this voice to text. The > chiropractor I've been seeing named my new condition, > "mouse-itis." That's on top of my traditional carpal > tunnel problem. If you are smart, you will go see a real doctor about your problem. Chiropractors and Witch Doctors are closely related.
