Saw a brief clip of Wanda Sykes the other night. She was announcing that she has NOT slept with any of her staff. LOL

Oprah has my respect because she is truthful about her struggle to lose weight, unlike Star Jones. As the saying goes, there is no better expert on dieting than a fat person. I think Oprah looks better with a few extra pounds on her. I do not get why society thinks extreme skinniness is so attractive.

Bill Maher should maybe stick to subjects that he is capable of understanding. Celebrities should be cautious about taking sides on medical issues. One main offender is Oprah Winfrey, her show is often the forum for Quacks, Charletans and "Spirtial" healers of dubious origins or benefit. Also, if I looked like Oprah, I would not be constantly badgering my audience about diet and nutrition either. Your idea of using simple math to gauge the effects of the H1N1 virus doesn't seem very scientific either. I have read that the expected seasonal viruses often don't appear in large numbers during a pandemic like this, so your simple math equation is probably not valid. And, considering the tendency of the H1N1 virus to quickly kill otherwise healthy young people it is vital not to take this lightly.

Bill Maher mentioned the Brittish doctors refusing the H1N1 vaccine, so I googled that. The part about the cost of the diagnostic testing and the reporting of Swine Flu cases did not come from that website, or any other website. The only reason I brought it up was to provide additional fodder for Bill's argument (why? because I LIKE him), but believe me, my source is real. I'm just saying that if the reporters dig a little, they may find over-reporting of Swine Flu cases without testing to be prevalent. It may be a simple matter of math. Find out how many Swine Flu tests have been sold or run. Compare that with the number of Swine Flu cases reported. Compare the number of Swine Flu cases reported with the historical number of ordinary flu cases during the same time period. I have said before on this board that I believe vaccinations are a gamble, but I get them because I really do not want to risk getting the flu. I havn't chosen sides on this issue. I'm keeping an open mind about it. On Letterman, Bill said that while some vaccines do have merit, over-vaccinating may be counter-productive. There are many fascets to this debate.

Yes, I definitely didn't pull it out of a hat. It didn't come from the media, either. If a good reporter started questioning places that are reporting Swine Flu numbers and asked what tests they are using, they would probably finds lots of sources.

Bill Maher was on David Letterman last night. He looked great, but Letterman made a joke about him not looking so good (in reference to the swine flu debate). Bill is getting a lot of attention for his opinions about vaccinations. I heard 60 Minutes said that is something he has in common with Rush L and Glen Beck. Bill said a large number of Brittish doctors are refusing the H1N1 vaccine. Half of UK Family Doctors do not want to be caccinated against Swine Flu It is costly to test all people with flu symptoms to determine if they have the Swine Flu or just the ordinary flu, so the number of Swine Flu cases may be greatly exxagerated.

And it isn't a matter of either/or. I don't think Leno is funny either.

Anyone who doesn't think that David Letterman is funny is comedy challenged. The reason that the non-funny/boring Leno had better ratings? People with insomnia tuned that chump in- and he never failed to put them to sleepytime.

e2 What you don't yet understand, is that there are exceptions to EVERY RULE, sometimes multiple exceptions. The Human element, as my dear old friend used to say, throws off every equation and rule.
