I don't think you get it, Bill

Your comments on the new credit card bill seem to lack a few facts. Please read the whole story behind this subject, noting that this is a method to do away with America's obsession with credit cards, to their benefit. The key word is, "responsibility", which seems to have gone out of fashion. Adding that gun "thing" puzzles me, but maybe the president has to throw a few crumbs from time to time. That's "politics". Obama hasn't disappointed me yet. Have patience, but thanks for "keeping an eye out". We look to you to cut through the BS.

bill was rather simplistic in his evaluation of cost cutting measures for health care as well. moving insurers, doctors, licensed medical practioners, hospitals, pharms and health care systems toward electronic data and away from paper can save nearly 10% in expenses. if the average premium is 12,000 dollars a year and the saving from just that one cost cutting measure are given directly to consumers, (not pocketed to make profits bigger), that could save working people a good deal of money. now add to that a cost cutting measure that limits the amount of money insurers etc can use on advertizing and marketing and you taken costs down another 10% or more, then add a competitive tax based plan and private insurers have to cut consumer costs again.

we could all be paying, (includes employers) close to 25% less for our health care. i'll fucking take that! that's a great FIRST step forward.

then if we allow various new technologies to compete with pharms and medical equipment suppliers, we cut cost even more.

the reisitance to cost cutting has got to be the dumbest argument ever.

I'm glad Obama hasn't disappointed you yet, but the same is not true for many. Even one such as myself that had rather moderate expectations am a disappointed with some decisions. Still, he has had a hell of a mess to clean up we'll see.

I thought this was Bill's best show in awhile. He started questioning the administration again. I'm not saying Obama has bad intentions, but as far as I'm concerned, the whole deal could have been settled with one sentence: Banks cannot charge more than 15% interest figured annually only. 900 pages? With a speed reader hired to read it before congress? How many bullshit grants were in that garbage? Go Bill!!
