Everyone in the MSM is speculating as to why this happened today. That is why on this day. The only thing I can think of is Guy Fawkes day. I'm a big fan of graphic novels so it was already on my mind today. Any other ideas?

I mostly agree, but reading books is not stopping me from turning into a "geek." Getting out with real people is the way to do that rather than wasting taxpayer dollars on basket weaving.

Most of them do that. They don't want you to be a geek.
Sounds like you got it covered.
I've known people at work that knew a lot about their computer software, etc. but if you got them off on an unrelated subject you found them to be "one-trick ponies". They could appear to be a genius (at least in their own minds) as long as you stayed in their realm. You don't want to be like that, boring.

My main problem is with schools trying to milk my time and money rather than just staying out of my way and letting me take my core classes. I don't need any "broadening" experience. Navy took care of that and I'm more cultured than many of these Okie profs. I do need to know how to save a man's life.

Once you get education you don't have to stay. $40K is cheap here for a nurse. And that won't last even there. Not that you necessarily want to be one. There'll be a lot of tech med jobs that haven't even been thought of yet. My cousin is an X-ray tech in Tn. A second cousin is about to become an MD. Thought of optometry? I know pharmacists do very well.
Whatever field you're considering check Dice & Monster for salaries & duties.

Admin is. An actual lead ICU nurse around here only earns $40k with overtime. All the hospitals for the region are St this or that and the nuns price fix.
