So on last friday's show at one point where Bill is discussing McCain, Kerry Washington says mockingly, "look at the other guys that were in the race, I mean really...the other Republicans in the race what were they bringing?" An ignorant enough statement is present there alone since Ron Paul completely enhanced the debates and constantly went toe to toe with the other candidates over a failed foreign policy and a host of other issues, but what was really the cherry on the cake was Bill not mentioning him and listing off Thompson, Guiliani and Romney and saying he is "glad it was McCain." What an interesting contrast from when he called Ron Paul his "new hero" in the primaries. Now I understand he didn't get a lot of votes but to not even mention him especially after the counter-convention? They just let that BS Kerry Washington statement fly? I think I see Bill's true colors after that. And btw I'm not a fanatic about Ron Paul, I hate that he is anti-choice, and some other issues, but as a Republican candidate he was trying to cut down the Neocon stronghold in the GOP and offer concepts that have become foreign in the party. I would have given anything to hear Kerry Washington's response if someone mentioned him, and Bill's.

Paul supported and voted for a law that allows women, even minors, to cross state lines to get abortions. nonetheless Dr Paul is "pro life" in belief. this created concerns among liberal that Paul Supreme Court appointments might also be "pro life". a valid concern, but Paul also has strong leanings toward the liberty caucus in the GO party. the final word on Paul is he is still trying to raise the awareness level of this country of the fail polices of the bush admin. Paul tries to illustrate how the bush admin is actually abandoning "free market" ideas and the constitution, both being totally contrary to the conservative ideology. Paul is also a strong vocal opponent of bigger government (another of the bush admin flaws is creating bigger gov, more debt and easy contracting for cronies). simply put tax cuts are good but spending must be cut in order to make the tax cuts work. this has not been the case of the bush admin. while it is true Paul wants to dissolve the Fed, the reasons and means seem to elude most of Paul's critics. Paul is entirely right when he clearly shows how the Fed is creating worthless dollars and how that easy money policy is leading this country to more and more instability. of course there is more to Ron Paul than what i can write here but somehow his critics will find it more convenient to confront this post than actually find the truth about Paul. and while Dr Paul is far from the perfect politician, he certainly was the best of the republican candidates during those debates and the only one who gave direct answers to questions, regardless of the blatant media bias he faced. -- 100
