The only difference between Bill Moyers as President than Barack Obama is the American Corporation... Moyers can't be bought, therefore he'd be killed. I'm hoping to create a transcript of Moyer's remarks, to be posted later. Your thoughts are welcome.

Wicky Well, Obama did win his first big fight, getting the stimulus passed. Maybe he'll get stronger and savvier with each issue battle. Hoping.

Time will tell. Maybe if health care is reformed he'll be free to push other things.

He seems like the substitute teacher in a fourth grade class of hyperkinetic children. One of the things he seems to have forgotten is the politics behind his election. We wanted change, not negotiation and capitulation.

Good to be back Dan-Man and I hope you're right. I was kind of hoping he'd warm America up for a truly Progressive president. Someone with the ideas of Nader and at least the charisma of John Edwards, if not Clinton or Obama. Maybe him screwing up will do that instead of having us run back to the cold unforgiving arms of the Republican party.

So true, Jetblakc; It's good to see you back in our 'hood! I think we're about to see it won't be just the Republicans kicking and screaming while being dragged into comprehensive health care reform. It'll be Obama too. The progressives are about to shove a rod up Obama's butt that will more than compensate for the spine he seems to have lost since he was elected. He seems to have forgotten that it wasn't Insurance, Pharma, and Wall Street that allowed him to beat Hillary, then McCain, it was the liberals that stood up for him and gave record amounts of cash, even more than the robber barons could counter. And we will flat remind him of that, come 2012, if he turns into a Blue Dog President. -- Daniel HBO Forums Abuser

BTW, these are the same Americans who neither kicked nor screamed when our former President eviscerated the bill of rights, and invaded two sovereign nations with no real plan. They don't care about sending people, my friends and relatives and very nearly me, to get their asses shot off halfway across the world. They don't scream about sending children fresh out of high school to be traumatized for life and/or maimed, but heaven forbid grandma get one cent taken away from her medicare. It's only 5% of 300,000,000 right?

Especially since so many Republicans have said they won't vote for Healthcare Reform regardless of compromise. They want it to "break" Obama. If they won't vote for it, what's the point of compromise
