No, it is the right thing to do. It's already a precedent, it's comes from the FBI play book. -- Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not thus handicapped.

Okay, let's put it this way...what do you want him to say? He is not going to tell you what is going on. He is not going to elevate three guys in a small boat to bin Laden status. So, what do you want him to say? > The fact that they haven't had any significant > developments is also troubling. This man had been > held hostage for days, and they are testing. Time is something we have, not something they have. We can afford patience, they can't. The more weary and dehydrated they get, the easier it will be to take care of them. Its also a bit psychological, that slapping of waves against the hull of a small boat going nowhere will drive you nuts -- and they aren't going anywhere. > Different story, jet. These pirates are very well organized. LOL This only plays into the fact some sort of strong financiers are behind them. They are most likely trained by former employers, which are or were... LOL LOL LOL -- Infoseek(A Proud Neocon) -- Edited by infoseek at 04/10/2009 6:13 PM PDT

> ____ Aye pirates. Captured an American captain. Now it's an international incident. Obama has to deal with an international incident. At least it's not on American soil. I say, free the captain, get the bastards to a safe haven then kill them. It's the only way to send a message.

He doesn't believe in buying if he can get it for free, therefore he has a shit load of money for playing and investing (well, investing has been put on hold.) The U.S. Navy doesn't want to get into a firefight with the pirate either. Not because they couldn't win. They obviously would, but that would spell certain doom for the hostage. That would not look good. -- When in doubt, hit him in the head. --Coach Lawyer

If > the Navy takes action against this rowboat on 'roids, > they'll do something to the rest of the hostages &>Pirates don't want to get into a fist fight with the US Navy. That would make their bad situation a lot worse. the plot thickens. too bad they recaptured the captain, then they could have just shot them out of the water i hope they hang them

Rapid, if the pirates want to fight, they cannot win. But those other 100 hostages on the scene are a deterent for the Navy to fire upon the one rowboat on 'roids. -- When in doubt, hit him in the head. --Coach Lawyer
