Rapid,

They are doing a great job. They got the German hostages and boat out too.

It's worth it, if there's any money to be paid for the ONE CAPTAIN. These pirates are also never too greedy. Smart.

My definition of organization is directed at the fact these 4 dumb dumb pirates were able to get other hostages to us too.

Whistleblower has learned that a classified internal report at the US Treasury?s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) has concluded that the pirates are funded by expatriate Somalis and Emiratis based in Dubai. This determination is based, in part, on an independent Interpol probe that managed to identify several moneymen behind the high sea piracy. All live in Dubai.

Ha! I really don't give a shit what CNN's special report on who these pirates are anymore. I've drawn my own conclusions.

The Secretary of State has already delivered that message, as she is supposed to.

He'll live, and that's the purpose.

No, it is the right thing to do. It's already a precedent, it's comes from the FBI play book.

I want him to acknowledge the issue and make some sort of statement- this is an American on an aid mission. I don't know what he should say- I don't know what he's thinking.

The captains getting weaker too. I don't know if he has food or water. Not acting sets a bad precedent.

Okay, let's put it this way...what do you want him to say? He is not going to tell you what is going on. He is not going to elevate three guys in a small boat to bin Laden status. So, what do you want him to say?

Time is something we have, not something they have. We can afford patience, they can't. The more weary and dehydrated they get, the easier it will be to take care of them. Its also a bit psychological, that slapping of waves against the hull of a small boat going nowhere will drive you nuts -- and they aren't going anywhere.

He should be saying something, yes, I think so. He has actively avoided the question when asked at least twice that I am aware of- why?

The fact that they haven't had any significant developments is also troubling. This man had been held hostage for days, and they are testing.

It's an ongoing military exercise and has been no developments of substance. What do you want him to say about it? The US, and most other countries in the world, have condemned piracy for over 200 years. Does he really need to tell you that?

> I just heard another pirate attack is in progress.

No, there is not -- at least not around two destroyers and an aircraft carrier.

These pirates are very well organized. LOL

This only plays into the fact some sort of strong financiers are behind them.

They are most likely trained by former employers, which are or were...

LOL LOL LOL

Aye pirates. Captured an American captain. Now it's an international incident. Obama has to deal with an international incident. At least it's not on American soil.

I say, free the captain, get the bastards to a safe haven then kill them.

It's the only way to send a message.

The reason why he has so much money is because he's a nonconsumer. He doesn't believe in buying if he can get it for free, therefore he has a shit load of money for playing and investing (well, investing has been put on hold.) His Idea of costco is a trip to the dumpster. The guy went to school too, to study economics. :^O

The U.S. Navy doesn't want to get into a firefight with the pirate either. Not because they couldn't win. They obviously would, but that would spell certain doom for the hostage. That would not look good.

$11K of pocket change. Wow. This is while we're all struggling trying to keep up with visits to Costco.

Additional pirate vessels aren't there. They are 300 miles out, and its a big old ocean.

the plot thickens. too bad they recaptured the captain, then they could have just shot them out of the water

i hope they hang them
