I'm currently stalled two-thirds of the way through Absurdistan, fabulous, by the way. So what is on your literary agenda?

Okay, Daniel, I am trying as hard as I can to NOT be a smartass because it does come naturally. Why not try carrying around an actual book? I can see the benefit, I suppose, if you need to be reading multiple books for work related reasons. But presumably, in this day and age, you'd also have a laptop so an e-book seems redundant. Plus, books are a lot easier to get through security at the airport. People with gadgets have a much rougher time. Maybe I'm a book snob, but I like the real thing best. > > -- > Dan > HBO Forums Host

BTW, those e-book tablets I posted about are these thin portable screens that are capable of displaying e-book files so you don't have to lug around a laptop. I won't be buying one for a while anyways...I always wait for the models to get updated, for the customer reviews to flow in, and for those crazy initial prices to come down a bit before I dive into any new electronic gadgetry. -- Dan HBO Forums Host

Good news for me...I just found out that they're planning to build a library (literally) within walking distance from my home. Finally, my tax dollars being put to work (for me!). aha! -- Dan HBO Forums Host -- Edited by Host_Daniel at 01/25/2008 8:54 PM

William Shirer "The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich" Very insightful into the political workings of the Bush Administration and the Neo Con political machine, and to some extent the Democrat strategists...very interesting reading. If you want to blame someone for the rise of Hitler, blame the German people. If you want to blame someone for Bush/Cheney, blame the American people. History tells us that people of conscience sit on their hands until it is too late...

Have you tried putting the gummi bears directly into the diet pepsi? I read a book about that. -- _________________________________ "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety" --Benjamin Franklin " A Nation without borders is not a Nation" --Ronald Reagan

I like it to turn on and have it do what I want through telepathy...doesn't work, but it might someday. I'm in the process of honing my technological telepathic skills.
