What are you reading?

I'm currently stalled two-thirds of the way through Absurdistan, fabulous, by the way.

So what is on your literary agenda?

The fan is on now, is that bad?

I don't know, happens sometimes.

No, that's normal unless it is really hot air coming out of it. Normal operating range without a load on, like 3D applications, is around 100 degrees Farenheit.

Generally, reboots like you described means power supply, noises along with that indicate HD failure if you aren't stressing your vid card, which you aren't now.
And the CPU either works or it doesn't.

May want to get a new power supply. They are fairly cheap. depending on what all it drives will dictate what wattage you need. 500W should do you unless you do a lot of intense work with it.

My fan goes on sometimes too. Mr. R says not to worry.
To keep on topic........we should read the manuals. ;)

Ha! If that were true for me, I'd have a lot more cash on hand.

I'm lucky, though, I had grandparents who liked to read.

Power supply most likely, or possibly HD failure.
Are you hearing anything from inside the box?

I was going to stop being off-topic here, but I thought I should tell you that.

When I read Gone With the Wind for the first time (and only, actually) it was my 1936 copy...somewhere close to there, anyway, I'd have to check to be sure. There really is something special about old books, all books, but old ones especially.

I don't even know what that is.

Mine are a bit far from me too but so are the book stores. LOL.
We have one of those book shops around too. I keep meaning to go there.

For it's age the pages are in pretty good condition though.

Hey, Ronnie.

Unfortunately, my "nearest" library is too far away. There's this little book shop close to where I live that gives you in-store credit and that's how I recycle my books. I only keep the books that I really, really like.

That is VERY cool!

I adore old books. There's something about the smell of them, and the paper is so thin, but you're right, you do have to be careful.

When I said "paperback," I meant a book you can hold in your hand, for the record. I edited my comment.

As far as travel goes, I thought about getting one of those e-book tablets, but I haven't made a decision yet.

Honestly, I don't understand where all this hostility is coming from, but I think you're digging a little too deep into my comments don't you think?

I'm only reading through threads and trying to get a feel for the place. I think you have me confused with someone else and you're lashing out at the wrong person.

Dan your right, and I apologize, my comments are not directed at you personally. I am a little concerned at the all of the thread/post deletions in the last 24 hours.
I think you folks are going way over-board with it.
