Bette Davis Eyes - Kim Carnes I'd say that most of the old Lerner & Lowe (My Fair Lady) or Rogers & Hammerstien musicals were great. One of my all time faves is Carosel. The soliloquy in that musical was amazing. We performed it in HS and the guy that played Billy had the most gorgeous tenor voice and sang the pants off that song!

I wouldn't say it's a TOTAL chick flick...It's not my favorite musical, but I still like it. My favorite modern musical is Spamalot...I was falling out of my chair laughing. As for classic, I'd have to say My Fair Lady, though I wish I had seen Julie Andrews in the role.

GR2 - I can't believe you've NEVER seen West Side Story?? The music is fab (can't beat Leonard Bernstein & Stephen Sondheim) and the dancing wonderful. Although I have to admit it is a total chick flick. I cry every time I see it, which is at least every couple of years.

Excuse this interruption of the game, but I would just like to pay tribute to Mr. Leonard Bernstein and the great musical West Side Story. One Hand One Heart
